| Posted about 3 years ago To my knowledge, there are no laws against a sex offender having contact with minors. To closest thing to a no contact with minors law is that most states do have legislation for student safety zones around schools. However, if he is on probation or parole for a sex offense, there are likely conditions that he cannot have contact with a minor child. With that being said, what part of having him around your kids sounds like a good idea anyway? |

| Posted about 3 years ago What county do you live in?????? Try going to the sheriffs dept. They should have all the information you are looking for. You can also try contacting the court system that tried your husbands case and see what the stipulations were. Hope this helps..... R.I.P "Macho Man" Randy Savage |

We have a college student near where I live that is forced to register because he was arrested for streaking his Freshman year. The nature of the offense is relevant. |

| Posted about 3 years ago You should allow him back in the home and in your bed. He should even take a sleeping pill and a couple of drinks to relax him and allow him to sleep soundly. That is when you can slip out of bed and into the kitchen and grab a nice long knife, lift the covers and remove that part he thinks so much of. Make sure he is tied down though so he can bleed out and to keep the noise down guess what you can use as a gag? This has got to be a troll or someone VERY stupid! |

| Posted about 3 years ago If I could trash this thread I would, because in my modest opinion this forum serves no purpose here whatsoever...! What business do we have giving advise to some woman who's (husband, lover, sex-partner, boyfriend) is a SEX OFFENDER IS BEYOND ME. I can say this much: She is getting no advise or any useful comment from me, because I am sure she doesn't want to hear what I would say. This is just TRASH. |

| Posted about 3 years ago Like I said before I think this idiot is troll. However, the prison I work at has the only Sex Offender Treatment Program (SOTP) (at least I believe) in the state. So every sex offender has to some to where I work. I have had the unfortunate experience of sitting in on some of these treatment classes and some of the things you hear from these inmates you could never imagine how horrible and how much of an animal they are. | Posted about 3 years ago When I was still in the district, the specialist rotated working the sex offender treatment day. reported at 0700 to unlock the doors. Sat through multiple sessions. Locked up at 1700 and called it a day. Thank God there were enough of us that we only had to do this about x2 per year. I give the sex offender officers the utmost respect. I would have NEVER voluntarly taken a sex offender case load. I'll keep the violent offenders any day of the week. Of course, I came to P & P from Child Protection. PL's Dedicated Vetting Agent |

| Posted about 3 years ago i just noticed that the OP hasn't come back to post a response to anyone. Either she did go to her local PD or just being a troll. If it was so important to post on a public LE site, she'd be here. My final answer is.... TROLL

And perhaps these "kids" are just experimenting at that young and tender age... Huh? Perhaps this is nothing but "Kid Stuff"...? Perhaps the fact that when I was 17 I never heard of such things among any of my friends have to do with "Old Stuff" and "Outdated Parenthood Methods"...? Perhaps not treating things as they actually are, and not recognizing the true lack of morals and values have something do with our society's current path... => DOWN THE DRAIN. Sorry... A sex offender is a sex offender. I still see no point in giving any advise to a woman that insist in living with such individual. His "sex offending classification" is all but IRRELEVANT to me. |

| Posted about 3 years ago Are you STUPID? YOU need your head examined or slapped one! What if he sexually assaulted one of your children? Come on use your brain.Get him out of your house and away from your children......once a sex offender always a sex offender. Sorry but the truth is the truth! |

| Posted about 3 years ago And, I will extend that IRRELEVANT to ANY SEX CRIME.... Regardless of its "Sex Offending Classification"... 1. A thief is a thief. (Even thought penalties will vary, according to the amount stolen) 2. A drug deler is a drug dealer (Same as above applies) 3. a prostitute is a prostitute (Regardless of how many guys she has done -or does per night-) 4. A drug addict is a drug addict (Regarless of how many fits he needs a day) The fact that the law establishes different penalties according to aggravating and / or mitigating factors should preclude me from seeing all sex offenders as Sex Offenders. The Law also agrees with me when it mandates registration of ALL OF THEM regardless of "Sex-Offending-Classification" |

It truly frightens me that you have a badge. That is the most narrow minded POV I have ever heard of in all my years. I always thought having an Open mind, and giving folks the benefit of the doubt was what being a Cop is all about. Guess I was mislead. How can you possibly lump in a College Streaker, and a 17 y/o girl with nude pics of HERSELF, with a child molestor or rapist? That's all kinds of jacked up. |

To be honest... I have the same opinion about you. Your lack of understanding of concepts and operations of the law is nothing short of overwhelming to me, starting with YOUR interpretation of my comments... All of them... IN ALL FORUMS... Why? I just don't know. I don't lump all sex offenders into the same bucket. THE LAW DOES. I simply stated what the law states: They are, all of them sex offenders, if the law classifies their crimes under that statute. I also mentioned, and I will repeat here: The law provides different penalties for different sex crimes and their aggravating or mitigating factors.. What part of that statement is so difficult for you to understand? Why do you keep trying to twist my statements into YOUR OWN interpretation...? Please... Let's cool it off... It is not my intention to have any personal confrontation with YOU on this or any other forum... Your opinions about me are IRRELEVANT to me, so please don't waste your time insulting me for no reason. |

| Posted about 3 years ago You are beyond me. I don't have to go back to read anything. All sex offenders are sex offenders. All thiefs are thiefs. All.... You know.. I will repeat AGAIN: All sex offenders are sex offenders, regardless of the severity of the crime itself, if the crime they commited is classified as a sex offense under the law... Do I have to say that any other way for you to understand....? All sex offenders are sex offenders because the law states that, not me. All sex offenders are sex offenders because the law states that, not me. All sex offenders are sex offenders because the law states that, not me. The law provides different penalties based on the severity of their crimes, aggravating or mitigating circumstances. The law provides different penalties based on the severity of their crimes, aggravating or mitigating circumstances. The law provides different penalties based on the severity of their crimes, aggravating or mitigating circumstances. All sex offenders are sex offenders to me. I do not say that. The law says that. Feel free to post any further comments. I won't. Feel free to insult me again at will. I won't. I know better. |
