I stand behind our military 110%.

However, I do have to question the way this Administration is treating our soldiers and our veterans.

Better to fight them overseas than to be fighting them here, if we quit fighting them overseas, more would come here and create havoc.

Where is Shock at????????????? I am sure he will have something to say bout this.

I support the effort 100 percent. I see a soldier, I shake their hand and thank them. They are the reason I can sleep somewhat peacefully at night/day. I have several friends in the Marine Corps and they have stated we are making progress and believe in the cause. That's more than enough for me aside from all the obvious evidence such as people living in Iraq being able to vote for the first time in.....................ever.

We have also spent a lot of time fighting terrorism right here and long before 9/11, yes, 9/11 was devastating I know that well I had a front row seat for the collapse of the towers, but there have been over 275 terrorist attacks in New York City alone since 1970, mostly bombs... I can't tell you how many attacks have been averted thanks to information/intelligence gained from captured and arrested terrorists. Every one of them rotting in a cell or literally rotting on a battlefield is one less to carry out operations on US soil... You bet your ass it's worth it

Fight a war, deadly engagement, or situation is never a good thing or something you want to do. That said there are certain things that are worth fighting over and they are freedom and family, friends, community and Nation. I enlisted in the US Navy in 1968 and remained until 1975 when the Vietnam War was over because I owed it to just those people I mentioned. I then became a cop again for those very same reasons. Someone has to stand up and be counted and I felt that I was that person. It cost me a marriage and nearly my life and a crippled body now that is in constant pain but I would do it all over again as I know that I have made a difference in this world. It may have been a very minor difference or one that has literally changed the history of mankind. I will never know as who is to say what events I may have changed. ANYTIME you do the right thing for the right reason you can be proud of yourself. I salute all past, present and future members of the US Armed Forces as well as police, firefighters and EMS personnel.

Absolutely 100% in support, and while our men and women are fighting and dying for us, we should be waging our own war here to get this socialist out of our White House.  I'm really glad to see all the responses thus far.  Lets me know there's some REAL Americans still out there.  Speaking of such, did anyone see the news about some kids getting sent home from school in California for wearing clothes with AMERICAN flags on them because it was Cinco De Mayo?  Some mother's son or some father's daughter just took a bullet for you people (school district that did this).  Shameful.

I 100% support our troops and the war on terror.

Countycop, yea that incident happened near a school district wear I live. The students were told to either turn their American flag shirts inside out or go home. The students said they were not going to disrespect the flag by turning their shirts inside out so they decided to go home. The vice principal felt the students were disrespecting the mexican flag and the cinco de mayo celebration by wearing those shirts. It's a bunch of B.S. if you ask me.

This is AMERICA!!!      You should be able to wear an American Flag shirt anytime you want to.     If I was the student,  they could just send me home too.     I give the students that went home a thumbs up for supporting America!!!

I enjoy see replies that support the war even after a great amount of time has passed. It is also pleasant to see that people have not forgotten the sacrific that our men and women make while fighting for our country. Our President made it clear that we would not win this war over night, but we would gain the upper hand on terrorism. Sadly we still have certain threats still apparent that we have to live with. I dont think we will be able to rid the world of terrorism, but as long as we continue to support  efforts to fight terrorism i believe we will make great progress. Thanks for the feedback

I support our troops as well. My problem is that we are trying to fight this war while being politically correct. Politician tap dance around with the nations that are supporting and aiding terror camps. They claim that we cannot go too far with our "aggression" for fear of upsetting our "allies" in the region.

I say screw 'em! We don't fight wars to be "PC". We should be in it FULL TILT and damn the consequences. These countries should be taught the lesson that if you support our enemies then you are our enemy and therefore subject to our military superiority. Maybe then they'll think twice about helping out those that are bent on destroying us.

I VIVIDLY remember 9-11. I was there. I also vividly remember the video of the citizens of countries who claim to be our friends celebrating and dancing in the streets after they saw the towers fall.

Pakistan? BOOM!

Saudi Arabia? BOOM!

Iran? BOOM - rebuild - then BOOM again (just for kicks)

Anyone want to add on?

I'm ready for this war to end but I"m not for sure if our troops can pull out at this time.  It seems like this war has been going on way longer than eight years.

Raed this whole thing before you pass judgement on me.

I DO NOT support the war. I DO support the troops. I used to be one. I was there from day one of the Shock and Awe campaign for 23 months. If you ask any soldier what he thinks of war, after he has escorted his best friend home in a Box, I think you'll get the same answer. I hate war. I believe we have to do it. It is a necessary evil. There is a reason why Great men have the Gumption to stand up and heed the call. There also those who hear it, and don't heed it, but stand behind the men and women that do. They are also heroes. America has gotten the wrong idea. You don't have to support the war to support those fighting it.

And on a side note, To My Good Friend Shock, and PSD, and the others who have heeded the call along side of me, I thank you for being that Great man/woman that America depends on. Just remember, nobody loves a Soldier Until the Enemy is at the gate.

Are you referring to terrorists in those regions or terrorists in general? Because not everyone that's a terrorist in this world is part of the Islamic faith. There are various terrorist groups out there that have nothing to do with Islam.

sadly, it's true. I remember my grandma telling me that when WWII occurred, everyone was SO proud to be an American and were willing to do whatever they can to help out our soldiers fighting. Now? Well, look at what happened to Vietnam Veterans....

I have talked to soldiers and it would really sadden me when they would tell me that they felt no one really cared. Have we lost our  values as a society so much and are so wrapped up in the "it's all about me" mantra that is now so common in our society that we can't even take the time to think about our own soldiers in TWO wars?? That's how I feel, espescially when it comes to my generation of peers that care more about Hollywood then they do the world around them.

*ok, I'm off my soapbox now LOL*

Some people, and I'm not saying names or pointing fingers, are ignorant enough to think that this whole war is with Islam. That's about the dumbest thing I've heard since "It's all over Oil". If you don't have the facts, keep your mouth shut. That's like the enemy saying they're fighting the Christians. Not everyone in the US Military is Christian. We are a predominantly Christian Country, just Like Iraq is a Predominantly Muslim Country. See where I'm headed with this?

If you're so ignorant to think that we're fighting or targeting a particular religion, when chances are you haven't picked up a Gun in defense of your country for a single day, then you don't have the right to have an opinion. People Like PSD, Shock, Myself, and many others have put in the time. We puched the Clock and did our duty. WE have the right. YOU have the right to remian silent. Use It!

For most people the GWOT is something on tv....a topic to "discuss" around a dinner table or a saturday evening shindig...something to support or criticize at the whim of political parties or an emotional rant of fist shaking from the lazy boy or the opposite emotional rant of a feminine disdain for violence.

For most, its just something on tv. For some, its very real and will always be there. And for those who have the t-shirt, it goes far beyond the simplicities I listed above.
