Posted over 5 years ago What is tagging doing on a LE site? I hope this isn't the direction PL is headed. I like fun and games and love a good sense of humor but this seems to much like what you would see on a dating site. I am married and my wife doesn't mind or question my actions in any reguard but I am just concerned that to someone like her tagging might be misinterpreted. If anything I would humbly request the ability to opt out of it and not have it on my profile. Thank you for listening. |

| Posted over 5 years ago I think it could be a sort of 'honor system' checks and balances. If a particular screen name is 'listed' as providing inappropriate tags, then the general public will learn to associate them as such. This may quickly deter their further action.... ......live at peace with everyone........ |

| Posted over 5 years ago pc341352u said: I can see that but can also see how it could spiral down into another type beast. When I became a member on this site it was because it was a LE not a general public site but also knowing that there would be NON-LEO's on here with the ability to interact with us and enrich the relationships of both. I know that sounds contradictory to my request but all I am asking is, can there be a way to be able to opt out and not have it on my profile? Please don't take this as me being preachy. I don't have the right. But I do believe in Preventive Policing as well as reactionary and I can forsee this being misinterpreted. |

| Posted over 5 years ago Yes you can remove them. from your profile click on your "see all" and on the upper right there is a "clear tags" button.. Hope this helps For so long as one hundred men remain alive, we shall never under any conditions submit to the domination of the English. | Posted over 5 years ago Thanks LT but it only takes care of posted tags. I would like to be able to take "You have no tags. Invite friends to tag you! add tags | invite friends to tag | see all " off my profile. Thanks again and I hope I am not causing to much of a problem. |

| Posted over 5 years ago I'm not sure I like the idea of tagging. Trolls can leave some nasty comments behind and I for one would not want to see that. I would like to have the option of taking that off my profile. Also, I thought we had the option to have parts of our profiles set to private where only our friends could view the info, has that been discontinued? |

| Posted over 5 years ago Hey everyone- I posted some information int he bulletin board about the new profile and tagging. Tagging is something that ONLY your friends can do to your profile. Joe schmoe off the street cannot tag you. There's a little more detail on the bulleting board: http://policelink.monster.com/discussions/13-policelink-feedback-feature-requests/topics/5922-bulletin-board Chris Cosgriff

| Posted over 5 years ago I should read the Bulletin board more often, I guess. Does bother me too much except for the anonymous part. I think that should be eliminated. JMO. If I have anything either good or bad to say about someone, I want them to know it's from me. |
