Ok..... I know what everyone is thinking but my g-friend wants to know "why dont we use Chihuahua attack dogs?" I personally think this is a little bit silly but i want to know what everyone else in the world thinks.      Let me know!

Those darn ankle biters - that's about as much as you will get out of the "attack" concept of a Chihuahua. Kind of like using a hard headed, stubborn Chow for a drug dog.

Ankle Biters????  More like boot dogs.  How are you at catching footballs?  How about flying dogs?  When bad guy boots your dog back to you like a football and you have to convince your "attack dog" to go after bad guy again. . . .hmmmmmm.  It may work the first couple of times but how many times can you convince your "attack dog" to ATTACK after it's been "booted" a few times?

I don't know if I am more scared that your girlfriend has that question or the fact that you posted it. I think the answer is obvious my friend.

I wonder what would be more traumatic for a Chihuahua attack dog ... taking a punt from a boot or being tased? Either way, it would be pyschologically career ending for it.

Great for annoying a suspect maybe- but they're all bark and no bite!

lol..... i agree on booting them, might have done it a few times myself. However, i dont know how effective a taser would be due to the degree of spread that the prongs have. You could always drive stun them, that would work! Then the football would not be moving as fast! lol

PS Scary poodles?

I think that will happen about the time law enforcement goes to air soft as service weapons. All bark, no bite. First you have to understand, the primary mission of a police service dog is one of detection. Then, it's a psychological deterrant, then a use of force. Small dogs just aren't intimidating.

I don't think your looking at the big picture here.  If a Chihuahua can be taken shopping in a purse, then why not in a drop leg bag.  When the situation calls for minor use of force, you reach into your bag and pull out the snaring beast.  You then throw it at the subject.  A flying Chihuahua would either scare the subject to death, or they would die laughing.  Either way, it makes for an intresting arrest.

yeah, but just think of the response you can get...

1 K-9 squad would be able to hold like a hundred of the little yippers!

Is that question along the same line as... "Excuse me officer, I have this friend who ____(insert problem here)_____?"  Kind of question.  haha.

ok ok I have to go there.. I have a chihuahua, and really she only protects me and my girls.  She is mostly all bark but has been known to bite when she thinks I am threatened by someone and she does not stop the attack until they retreat.  Also good for taking on an intruder, well until she gets booted I would suppose

With the degree of dart separation, you wouldn't get a good hit with both darts.......... unless you stapled it.

Mostly all annoying bark.  If they don't bite your ankle, they will likely empty their bladder on you.
