I have been advised by TheSarge to start this discussion as I am directly involved and can field any questions you may have. We did this last year and TheSarge gives it his full endorsement and support. 

I am not quite done with my battle against breast cancer so last year I teamed up with American Cancer Society and did my first Relay For Life right after my double mastectomy on April 30th 2009.  Everybody here on PL got behind me and supported me 100% and it was awesome!

Well this year I have another surgery to endure and this time it is on May 12th 2010 and the Relay is on June 5th through the 6th. I am the Chairwoman of this year's event because I made a lot of noise I suppose last year. The Indianapolis Star and News did a cover story on me this year and as soon as it is printed I am going to have it transferred over here. 

Anyway, what I need from all of you this year is the same as last year. I need you to donate to my IMPD team. The team name is Everybody Fights Nobody Quits. And for all of my IMPD buddies out there I need for you to join the team! Billy is the Captain and I am on his team since I am the chair woman I will only be able to walk a few laps. 

Like I said last year, anybody who donates $10.00 or more gets there name written on my arm with marker for all to see throughout the Relay, and if I run out of room I will start writing down my legs. Anyone who donates $100.00 or more gets their choice of color of marker and their choice of placement on my body to have their name written on. Some have already said they want their name written on my forehead!

Thats going to take up her whole left arm...... but I will be proud to see her write it on there...... I will probably even be the one to write it on there for her......  I only have 3 names to write on me so far. So that means I have a lot more skin to cover!!!!! Let's get this party started!!!!!

 Good news folks!!!!!! I have 2 new names to write upon my arms, and even though someone once told me that I was no bigger than a minute, I have to tell you that there is still a lot of exposed skin to cover!!!! So come PL and help me reach my goal of $2,000.00 this year, and I want my entire exposed body parts covered in names!!!!

 Let's keep bumping this thread up so that it will have a chance to stay on the front page at least for a day. That way everybody can read it and see my Relay video that happens to feature all of you here on PoliceLink. But you will have to watch it to see how it encompass this entire website!
