Posted about 3 years ago What are your night-time, after-shift activities that only other vampires would really understand. I write this as I sit here, 0930 hrs, finishing off a beer and sandwich, before retiring for the day, you know, like normal people would do after work. The shift has headed out for Kegs-n-Eggs before, but it's hard to find a suitable place to hit the bar after work. What are some of your "night-life" morning routines and activities? 100 Years from now ..... all new people !! |

Posted about 3 years ago I have 2 Jobs so I work pretty much every day. But when I get off in the morning, I usually hit the Waffle House for some Coffee and shoot the Bull with a couple of Old timers that regular there, Then I go home and catch the news for a few minutes, then it's off to bed for my six hours before the next shift. It's Not a bad life and I'm still pre-burn out stage so I can do it and make a little cash on the side then why not?

Posted about 3 years ago Lately I been working out because I have been motivated to do so. I was told its addictive once you get into it. Damn yankee lie I tell ya! So I do it because I need to. Wait I guess that would be an addiction if its a need.

Posted about 3 years ago With the weather getting warmer it will be back to the trusty beer and bon fires. Time to part ways with the early opening establishments. PL Mentoring Team Member

Posted about 3 years ago We/cops have a really nice FOP lodge to invade after shifts end. It's large well equiped, big screen TV, stereo, pool table, complete kitchen facilities, hugh rock fireplace, beer and soda vending 24-7 (cans), plenty of chairs and tables. No guns and no uniform shirts w/badge allowed. Was great, safe place for some really great bs sessions and to relax and unwind after a busy third or second shift. Sometimes a bunch of the shift would get together there and cook a big breakfast. Family events a few times a year. There was always parties on the big party holidays like Halloween and New Years Eve with a wet bar and food, DJ and sometimes even a live band. All maintained and funded by our FOP membership. Monthly FOP meetings are held there. The first time I went there all I could say was, this place is great! I can't count the hours I spent there. Everybody works at keeping the place nice and clean. Really miss the times there since I retired.
