Posted over 3 years ago Just recently, we arrested a guy who had an ak-47 that was chambered for .223. I've never seen one of these before and was wondering what other wierd bad guy weapons you guys have come across. |

| Posted over 3 years ago Many AR-15's are chambered for .45,9mm and .22. As far as "wierd bad guy weapons", I haven't come across much. I will say that it's important to be on the lookout for "credit card companions", which are a credit card sized multi-tool with a small knife and other utility tools. |

LMAO. Well it's not funny because anything can be used as a weapon now days. But.....................................it is a little funny. I've come across people carrying hammers, tire irons, small pry bars etc...... becaue they are not illegal to conceal on your person. But, it can be used as a deadly weapon. http://www.fowlergaragedoorservice.com |

| Posted over 3 years ago ya know the part you use to screw up your deoderant.... I have seen a pretty good shank made of that! Above all, we must realize that no arsenal, or no weapon in the arsenals of the world, is so formidable as the will and moral courage of free men and women. It is a weapon our adversaries in today’s world do not have. Ronald Reagan |

Yup. I worked corrections before hitting the road and they come up with some innovative ideas. The sad part is 99% of what they make their weapons out of has been supplied to them by the facility. (At least at a the county level) Never worked for the state prisons. Whole different ball game there. http://www.fowlergaragedoorservice.com |

| Posted over 3 years ago I know that corrections/jail staff come across some creative stuff for sure. But, someone told me that that AK chambered for .223 was scarce and very valuable. Anyone know about this? Also, there has been a lot of very valuable antique guns nabbed on different cases in our general area. Things like a mint condition M1 Garand and a Thompson complete with 100 round drum etc. are just a couple. |

| Posted over 3 years ago Norinco imported quite a few MAK-90 Ak rifles in .223 in the late 80's / early 90's. Saiga is now making AKs in .223, 308, shotgun chamberings and the usual soviet calibers, so they are not really that rare but they are increasing in value because of the overall scarcity and demand for such things. I had a guy carrying a 2 foot long hooka down the road try to hit me with it when I tried to contact him for a D.V. I also charged a couple guys in the jail with felony menacing and possesion of contraband after they took the temple pieces loose from a pair of metal frame eyeglasses and sharpened them into shanks and then threatened another inmate with them. |

| Posted over 3 years ago I was shown a quarter the other day that had been made razor sharp on one side of the quarter and left the same on the other. The offender can hold the quarter or have it in their pocket and it looks and feels just like you would expect it too. Even if someone was holding it you would never think about it unless you had previous knowledge. I would have never thought about it. The person that had it explained that it was a throw away weapon and that it was just used to make a deep cut on a face, neck, or any exposed skin area. PS: Make sure to tell any officer that you know of this potentially deadly weapon.......Thanks.... Live one day at a time, one minute at a time, one second at a time and make those times be exciting and fulfilling to your life because you never know when it is your last one.....Love like it is your last day and always take the time to express your feelings to loved ones so they never question how you felt.......Be Safe Brothers & Sisters...

| Posted over 2 years ago IED rigged with det cord and non-dairy creamer mixed with shrapnel type material. Yeah, American hating terrorists watch American TV shows like MythBusters. It's impossible for words to describe what is necessary to those who do not know what horror means. Horror and moral terror are your friends. If they are not, then they are enemies to be feared. |

Just like in the movie "The Rock". Connery's character flattens a portion of a quarter to fit a screw head. Different use and size but same concept. A couple more hits and it could be used as a razor, in fact if i remember correctly he used it to cut a circle into the glass to weaken it for a hit. Yes, I know, all Hollywood but some truth has to be there to make something outlandish plausable. |

Just a note, you may be right, however most of this has been in a movie or on TV (Mythbusters). Also in the American Rifleman (NRA) as an add for sales of weapons. I think this is just a friendly reminder to watch your 6 |

| Posted over 1 year ago Another wierd weapon. 1996 40mm black powder cannon on wheels towed behind a Hells Angels motorcycle, taken in a search warrant at their San Bernardino Club House. It could launch a soild projectile about a mile. We looked a little wierd towing it to the range behind a patrol unit. |

| Posted over 1 year ago Back in the early 70s I had a women come charging at me from a kitchen with a pot of boiling water that she intended to throw in my face. A strike with the night stick to the arm caused her to dump the water on herself instead. My concern at the time was not just the boiling water, at the time it had become popular to boil lye and throw that in your face to blind you. In my case it was just water.
And bye the way, watchout for those high heal shoes, used like a club. They will hurt like hell or even but your eye out. |
