I applied for this job six months ago.They gave me a call and offered me the job a few months ago.I completed all the paperwork for the security background check(you need a secret clearance for the job)I also completed the physical and am taking the physical agility test this week.The HR lady I spoke with said everything is done and they are waiting for me to finish the pt test part.

Is there an academy for this position? I have gotten two different answers on this from HR and can't seem to find anything on the net?

How can my background check be done if they haven't contacted anyone I listed?

My last question is for anyone doing this job.What can I expect? I was in the military and worked security for MGM casino in Vegas.

Yeah,I started last month.

I didn't know they still had 0085's.  Thought they left with the contract security debockle the Gov went to.  Navy Region's are pushing for physical agility, but most unions have stopped it because of how it's written.  Which region you in and did you have to do it or was it put on hold? Just asking.

I'm in the southwest region. They gave me a weeks notice to do the agility test. The training is a joke, unless you consider powerpoint good training. I bought my own uniforms . Now they want me to buy new uniforms. They are supposed to reimburse me. I don't recommend this job for anyone. Go to work for a grocery store.
