Posted almost 6 years ago Do you need a degree to become a investigator? How does one get started if thats something they want to do? |

| Posted almost 6 years ago Usually yes. You also usually need a degree now to even become a patrolman with many police departments. Of course you need to work the streets and prove your worth there first before you even think about moving up to working investigations. |

| Posted almost 6 years ago So very true Robo; I have been told this many times. When I found out that I needed a bachelors to work with the FBI that’s what I did. I kind of did this all backwards. I should have become the LEO first, but school is paying off and will in the long run. I would suggest getting your Associates degree first. I also would say Google search your PD's in your area and look over their websites as it will tell you what their hiring requirements are... “No one can make you feel inferior without your consent”
