The Passing of a fellow PL Member: "tlacks"

Posted 18 days ago While attending my graduation for completing the Public Safety Academy I recieved a heart wrenching call from a friend--- PL member TLacks (Tony), Captain of the Opa-Locka PD, passed away last night in his sleep. He leaves behind a wife, three children, and five grandchildren. Many of us have come to know Tony for his amazing sense of humor and his compasion to share his advice and knowledge with others. Tony has been a Big Brother to me for many years. He talked with me for three hours while I drove in a snow storm so that he was sure I made it to my desination safely. Tony gave me a great deal of advice on my educational direction so that I would make the best choice to suit my career goals and reach personal achievement..... That is the kind of man Tony is. May you all keep Tony, his family, and the Opa-Locka PD in your thoughts and prayers this evening! | Posted 18 days ago He was one of the sweetest guys you could meet. I will cherish the chats we all had in the Bolo chat room..and all the laughs! He was a heck of a guy and awesome LEO. He will be greatly missed for sure..I love you TONY...RIP..keep watch on your fellow LEO's and friends from up above. I Don't look back for long, I keep looking Forward! |
