I was just notified by a friend that when he put my name in the search engine he was able to go to my policelink page.  I don't know if everyone knows that or not, but I certainly did not know it.  I am considering taking myself off of the police link page because I can't control who sees that information.

Your entire front page appears including your pics, personal info and your wall info.  Everything.  I do not like that at all. I typed my name in the search engine of google, bing and msn.  My name came up with some of my information before I even clicked on the policelink site. 

Beware guys because I did not join this site as a law enforcement officer for any and all common joe blows to view my information.  i am sure at some point or another crimimals put our names in the search engines to see what they can find out about us. policelink does not help that situation any.

Can somone tell me if there is a way to make this information private.

Anything and everything you place on the internet is public information.  Policelink is a public website and everyone has access to it.

Yup!! What he said! There is a way to make your profile a little more private, but even the hackers can still get into it. That's why you have to be careful what you post. If you want to stay on PL , but don't want outsiders (non-PL members) seeing who you are, simply remove that info from your profile.    Just my 2 cents.
