I need to figure out how to properly and safely wire up an MX7000 lightbar to use as a house decoration, making it run off of 110 volts.  Anyone know how to do this??  Would like to have a little switch box for the rotators, take downs, flashers, and intersection lights.  Wouldn't mind being able to use the arrowstick but not important.  Let me know..  $$$$$ for anyone in the Denver area.

Your best bet is to obtain a hefty 12 volt power supply.  This will take your 110AC house currant down to 12VDC.  Then it's a matter of hooking up the appropriate wires to both aux switches and relays...... Or you can also obtain the same or similar controls to that inside of the police car from Galls.  The latter would probably be much less of a headache in the long run.  Good luck.

Do you, or anyone know the correct specs I need?  I have tried a couple 12 volts and most won't turn a light on, and one blew all my bulbs out.  Thanks again!

Off the top of my head..... nope.  I know that there are some pretty hefty 12 volt power supplies out there.  You might want to contact one of the places out there locally that put the units together for service.  Both locations that our department deals with here in California has displays set up in their show room in similar fashion so that different set-ups could be looked at.  They are powered by 12VDC power supplies.  They should also be able to tell you what relays and breakers you would need to prevent yous bulbs from popping or blowing up.

You need to know volt requirement, it may not need12, this might be why you blew lights out. Try and get manual and spec sheet from factory. It may need AC  might be a power converter in car already good luck, and wear some good rubber gloves...

If its 12 volts, can you not run it from a small 12v car battery coupled to a charger?
