To whomever this may concern:  which may probably be everybody before this president and congress have finished what they have in mind for these United States of America.

A little introduction first.  First off, I am neither a militia minded person or some Chicken Little yelling that the sky is falling.  I am a Michigan State Trooper and have been since graduating the academy in May of 1995.  I have friends that have been in law enforcement from the late 60's on and from the discussions I have had with these individuals and my observations of the way law enforcement has evolved just in the last 15 years, along with the current events, I have become ever more concerned of the future of my country enough to start verbalizing and considering what actions are available to myself as well as other friends that are like minded in these feelings.  After some discussions with others on this site, I was asked to pose this scenario to find out who, if any, have the same feelings and find out what are the actions available to us if worse comes to worse.

In history, we as a nation have had plenty of actions that were less than stellar on our part.  We got here and began taking the land from the current residents at the time, the Indians, under the guise of Eminent Domain.  Feeling that we deserved that land from ocean to ocean because of what. . . . .it was our right to take the land from those that used it and treated it fairly before we arrived?

We have gathered up our own citizens and placed them in internment camps because we were afraid that they might still be loyal to their old country (Japan) and try to sabotage our war industry.  Remember World War II?

For over 150 years enslaved future citizens and later on after freeing them told them they could only ride in certain spots on public transit, drink from certain water fountains, use specific bathrooms and act certain ways towards us.  So much for a general overview of the past.

CURRENTLY, we have a president that has said MANY times that he wants to be Robin Hood by taking from the "rich" and giving to the poor. . . .he called it "spreading the wealth" and not only has he said it during his time as a community organizer, but also during his time as a senator and then again while he was running for president. . . . .remember Joe the Plumber video?  To that end, he not only wants to "spread the wealth" for the citizenry of the U.S., but also to the rest of the world.  He is working on deals (Cap and Trade) that will turn over our sovereignty to some new world order that has yet to actually appear.  But the dominoes are being set.

Health Care is something else that is being shoved up our collective rear ends.  While I am for some form of reform, I think the best reform at the moment would be tort reform and either allowing, or forcing insurance companies to sell across the U.S. to give everyone a better choice of programs to choose from.  What is our government doing????  For you James Bond aficionados, and those that aren't go to the "Live and Let Die" episode.  At some point, bad guy tells Bond that he is giving away 2 tons of heroine to double the number of junkies and also put the other heroine cartels out of business.  Once that was done, then he could do what he wanted with the price and just about guarantee himself great wealth.  Does this sound familiar with the Health Care Bill that is currently making it's way through our congress????  You can keep your own insurance but the government plan will be cheaper and your employer will eventually drop your insurance and change to the government run insurance.  Once this is done and there are no more insurance companies, the government will have the monopoly on health insurance and guess what. . . . . .you will do what they want you to.  Is this another dominoe set to fall against us?

Speaking of doing what they want you to, once they have you locked up in the government insurance monopoly. . . .what happens when the possible new world order government wants control of "our people"?  We have judges RIGHT NOW that are not relying on our Constitution for their answers anymore, I have heard judges referencing decisions by the world court in their decisions.  Since when do we listen to the World Court in regards to our judicial system????  I don't know, ask Justice Sotomayer. . . . .she has made more than a reference or two to the world court during her decisions.  Is this yet another dominoe?

FINALLY, after all of the observations that I have seen in my lifetime. . . . .I pose this scenario to you, my brothers in arms.  I hope that I am wrong in this evaluation of current events BUT. . . . . .I see countries such as Great Britain and Australia taking their citizenry's guns and other rights away from them.  Canada doesn't allow certain types of weapons in their country and well, I could go on and on about what countries allow what.  Take a look at our own politicians referencing with some glee what Chavez has done in Venezuela with the government taking control of the media and other businesses such as the oil that we want to buy.  OUR OWN COUNTRY has jurisdictions that either deny or heavily restrict what types of weapons we as citizens can possess, much less carry and these places (currently Chicago) are being taken to task one at a time  through our Supreme Court to overturn these restrictions.

IF, the Supreme Court decides that the 2nd Amendment to our Constitution does not apply if a local jurisdiction decides that for the "common good of the people" that ALL guns are BANNED.  As an officer, do you enforce that local law????  If our federal government decides that we are no longer in control of our sovereignty, that this new world order (whenever, if ever, it shows it's ugly self) will make the rules. . . . .do you as a law enforcement officer enforce the will of this new government????

In the end, I guess the real question is. . . . ."If your command staff orders you to violate someone's current Constitutional Rights (we are talking they have committed no crime here). . . .do you go into their homes without a warrant and take their guns?  Or throw them in jail for speaking their mind or not purchasing this new government run health plan?  Or just in general, destroy their lives as they know it because someone believes it is for the "common good of the people"?  I know whay my decision is already. . . . .what is yours?

A man whose health records are sealed from childhood to a man who spent 20 years in a church whose pastor espouses Marxist Liberation Theology, anti-Americanism, anti-capitalism, and anti-Semitism, but claims he never heard his pastor utter anti-American, and anti-Semitic statements.

A President who berates American CEO’s for flying in private planes at private expense on company business, but whose wife spends hundreds of thousands tax payer dollars flying to Paris for a shopping spree.

A President who promised a transparent administration, but requires all questions be screened before “impromptu” appearances.

A man who freely admitted his energy policies are designed to bankrupt the American coal industry.

A President who has presided over the loss of 14.7 million jobs and whose “energy policy” will cause the loss of another 1 million jobs.

A President whose “energy policy” will increase the average American’s utility bills by over $2,000 a year in the middle of the Great Recession.

A man about whom liberal journalist Tom Brokaw said, “There’s a lot about him we don’t know.” . . .just one week before the election.

The vast majority of Americans do not know who he is, but someone surely does.  Someone paid for his travel expenses to Pakistan and Indonesia .

Someone engineered legal challenges to all of his election opponents for the State Senate and had them disqualified. Someone straightened and leveled his path to the U.S. Senate when a Democrat Judge made public the child custody records of his Republican opponent. When he was a candidate for the U.S. Senate, someone arranged for him to speak at the 2004 Democratic National Convention. Someone saw to it that all of his records were sealed, both at home and abroad.   Someone assembled the massive organization for his run for the Presidency. Someone knows all about him.

Who?

You have seen the “news”.  You know that Health Care Reform is nothing more than the federal government making one of the largest grabs at YOUR FREEDOMS!  What happens when you boss orders you to violate some other American’s Rights by removing his legal weapons for the “good of the people”.  Or, you are ordered to arrest someone for exercising their freedom of speech for the “good of the people”.  Do you comply????  OR, do you have a Plan B?

The ruling was for Washington D.C., not for the rest of the U.S..  That is the reason those in Chicago are taking their cause to the Supreme Court.  I can't remember the exact wording of the D.C. ruling but my understanding (which is probably mistaken) was that D.C. does not fall under the 10th and 14th Amendments to the Constitution as D.C. was considered more or less Federal Jurisdiction.  Chicago falls under the 10th and 14th Amendment which is what the court is to decide.  Does a state have the authority to place limits on gun possession/use or does the 2nd Amendment supercede state's rights?

Believe me I understand the not telegraphing your intentions and I wasn't really looking for "an answer" to the question.  I was actually looking more for the "discussion" of things yet to come. . . .if any, and how others were perceiving the current events.  Also, I think that I was also looking more for the if I was the only one thinking of this or if anyone else had any concerns of what could be coming down the road.

And I really hope that I am wrong about the potentials.

I can understand where one would say that the views here could be considered a bit on the extreme side.  As I said in the beginning, I had already had this discussion with another member here who is NOT a LEO but felt the topic should be broached anyway.  I also tried to cover this "extremism" part in the introduction part of this as I had a feeling that some would take this as a bit extreme.  But, as any good poster knows you have to go to the extremes sometimes to get responses.  Anyway, the original idea behind this post again was not to get a specific "telegraphed" answer, just a topic of conversation going.  Something, that God forbid, is possible in the future (maybe near future?) since the current administration seems to be trying everything it possibly can to go AROUND our Constitution by "hiring" (what are we up to now, 32-33?) Czars that have not only become King Obama's advisors, but his policy makers.
