I'm not really sure... I believe... but is it god?

Yes.  I believe in God.  I believe His son is my savior.  I believe that this job would be so hard to do with HIm and a belief in HIm.

Take a walk outside and look at the beauty of His creation.  Hold a child in your arms and look at the beauty of His creation.  Watch His sun rise up over His creation. Sit and read His word.

In todays world believing in HIm is not the popular thing to do and it never has been.  He is belittled and taken oput of everything that was designed to give HIm glory.  He knew it would happen.  Why the bad stuff in this world of HIs occurs is not ours to decide.  He has plans greater than ours.

Many people struggle with belief in God.  There are many questions and objections to holding such a belief.  I would highly reccomend the book "The case for Christ" by Lee Strobel.  He was a reporter and an atheist and investigated the claims of Christianity from that point of view.  The book (there's also a video by the same name) should help answer some questions for you, and perhaps pose some new ones.  Belief in God most often comes from a journey of research and discovery rather than a lightning-strike moment of conversion. 

I personally am firmly convinced that there is a God and that belief can not be shaken, but you should not take my word for it.  Over the years I have discovered many resources for those with critical thinking skills that want something more than blind faith.  PM me if you wish further discussion.  I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers as you seek the truth.

I believe in the Christian God, and of his son, Jesus Christ, my Lord and Saviour.  Having said that, I think religion too often gets in the way of Christianity.

 I believe in the Lord almighty, his Son Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirt. Three into one. Without them we are nothing with them we have and are everything. All the things I have been through this past year and life time would be impossible to go through without GOD. He is there to help pick me up when I need it and there to be my Friend when none are around. Thank you GOD for all you have done for and given me. The helaing of my Grandson keeping my family safe and giving me life and a wonderful family. I LOVE YOU LORD.

Barb, I don't know that the question here should be what do I believe in because I can tell you that I believe in this or that and you would not be any closer to the answer to your dilemma.  From your question it seems that you believe in something. . . . .but you either don't know what you believe in (which doesn't seem to be the case) but more of the why do you believe in it or how can it be proven one way or the other.  Either of these are something you will eventually have to answer for yourself.  All I can say is we all "stall" sometime in our beliefs wondering if what we believe in is either worth it or if it's true or not.

The question I think you are looking for is how do you prove "Faith"?  If you can prove something, then you don't need faith so I am thinking that this is the catch-22 that you are currently in.  Again, this is something we all face from time to time so you are not alone.

Yes I do. I served in S.E. Asia and been in LE for 35 years. I probably have said the lords prayer, Hail Mary, every Psalm there is about a million times now. In LE, walking up to that vehicle stop at o'dark thirty with tinted windows and you run through your training for 2 seconds as your walking, the next 2 seconds are reciting everyhthing I can think of.

I think those of us who have talked to you and read your posts understand you were being sarcastic, I think your explanation of your beliefs are engrained in so many LEOs and other professions alike..........that gut feeling, the one you pray silently, or out loud to, Please Lord, hear my prayer.............

I believe the real reason while we are here is bigger than what we can understand. We just do the best we can trying to figure it out. If your belief helps you get through the day that's fine. Just don't impose it on me.

GOD DECLARES HIMSELF!!  The earth and the works there of my creations and my love toward mankind. " I belive in GOD,  and have nothing o lose for believing but those who would deny Him will one day be SUDDENLY CUT OFF FOR ALL ETERNITY and I had rather be right  and belive than take chance for not beieving and suddenly  find ALL TRUE. !!  I have nothing to lose you on the other hand who claim to be non belivers have your very souls to lose not just for a day...but for all eternity. !!!!
