Cant update profile 'About Me'

Posted over 3 years ago I am trying to update the About Me section and nothing happens. The progress shows next to the Submit button but now 'Saved' message shows nor does it take me back to the top of page saying it was updated. No errors or anything. I am using latest Firefox, but it does the same thing on all my browsers, my work computer and my home computer.

| Posted over 3 years ago I'm guessing it has something to do with the Monster transition. It has not been smooth and many members were lost voluntarily and some involuntarily (they got locked out as soon as they created their Monster account as required). All I can say is god luck You have the rest of your life to solve the problem, how long your life lasts depends on how well you do it. -Clint Smith

| Posted over 3 years ago Oh, that's not cool. Ok well luckily I already had a monster account but never linked em. I actually find the box that pops up annoying hehe, sorry. I don't really have an interest in linking them. They should add an 'opt out' option. Thanks for the reply though. I'll keep trying and hope for the best.

| Posted over 3 years ago Seems there are others that can't modify other parts of their profile. If you don't want to link your current monster with PL then create a 'ghost' monster profile. Mine has no identifying personal info. You have the rest of your life to solve the problem, how long your life lasts depends on how well you do it. -Clint Smith

| Posted over 3 years ago Ok I went ahead and merged the accounts with the one I already had on monster. Monster only allows one profile per email and I didn't really want to go out and create a bogus email just to get PL to work. After merging the profiles however it still does not let me edit my About Me. Could one of the admins go in and clear that box for me, possibly?

| Posted over 3 years ago Same here have been trying to update my profile and it never works. Just now linked to Monster to see if that would help it. It did not! :( Thanks, Chris |

| Posted over 3 years ago Not sure if this much help. If you go to your profile page go to the "About Me' section and click on the little edit button. It should take you to a page where you can add your about me information.. "Ladies and Gentlemen, take my advice. | Posted over 3 years ago Just go into your "my profile." almosty all the sections have a little "edit" icon hit edit and you will be able to edit whatever you want. |

| Posted over 3 years ago That wasn't working last night either. I'm guessing a fluke in the new system. I lets me write out a profile submit it and it doesn't show up. Oh well. |

| Posted over 3 years ago Yea I don't see how it is possible to edit your information on Monster and have it show up in the correct About Me section on PL. When I go into my control panel on Monster, my PL About Me information does not show up. So im guessing even if I edit the About Me on Monster, it will not carry over to PL. Anyone know how to decouple the Monster account and PL now? If I must have Monster sync'd I am going to create a bogus one because my Monster account is geared toward Software Development - which has no purpose on PL and everytime my Monster profile changes I get 100 Head Hunters calling me asking what my status is...pretty annoying.

Here time stands still in our profiles...so we can stay the same age!!! lol..But on the other hand..we end up with all the other stuff never changing either..and that may not be a bad thing...for those single..or married..hey..you can stay married for the same amount of years and your kids stay little..lol...Just thought I would bring a giggle..in this mess!! I Don't look back for long, I keep looking Forward!
