THIS CAME UP FROM ANOTHER DISCUSSION. TELL US ABOUT ONE OF YOUR MEMORABLE PATROL SERGEANTS AND WHY HE RANKS UP THERE AS A GOOD BOSS.

Sergeant William Stinson- worked steady midnights to 8am in the 77th Precinct during the wild times of the 1970's. His small command of police officers who also chose to work steady mids in one of the most active precincts in New York City was known unofficially as STINSONS RAIDERS. He was an absolutely cops cop and and a real BOSS. Through all the activity of his command he stood out and took immediate charge in the street.  I would follow him anywhere. (SORRY TO MY FELLOW PL MEMBERS BUT THIS SGT WILL BE HARD TO TOP)

Although I worked with him for a very short time before transferring to MTN Sgt. Manny Flood was not only a straight ass supervisor but a friend he took me under his wing just being on the job a little over a year, God Bless him.

P.S. Mike no need for any one of us try and top any boss, their were some that gave and some that took, we owe a kind word to those who served and are serving our fine city.

All we have are memories!!

SGT. Joe Calderon and SGT. Mike Schoonmaker from the 113th   Both work for University of North Carolina at Charlotte now.  These two are great guys.

I worked for Sgt Henry "White Socks" Ellis in 1972. He was like a father figure and you could go to him with a personal or professional problem. The angels came for him a few years ago and he is missed.
