Posted about 1 month ago So, I was wondering if anyone remembers some vocab words from the exams... or have any tips for the exams?
I took my first one yesterday, and have many more in my future, so anything helps.
Thanks! "One definition of hell is when the person you are now meets the person you could have become." |

| Posted 23 days ago I have yet to take the COPS Exam yet most police department exams are never the same except for maybe the COPS Exam. The Police Exam book that you bought should do the trick. Plus there is this website called www.PoliceQuiz.com that can be helpful if you sign up. Carpe Diem |

| Posted 23 days ago Yeah, thnx... Villa Park had a small listening section and then reading comprehension... rest was all a personality test basically. Pick between two words and stuff like that. "One definition of hell is when the person you are now meets the person you could have become." |

| Posted 18 days ago I don't remember too much about the written tests (12 years since I took my last one). I remember the BOTS testing. Sorta amusing. The asked psyc questions like, "Can you drink blood it you had to?" or "I can walk through walls?" or "I believe in alien life on other planets" or questions talking about things being "groovey." The test was a little dated. There are too many different tests out there that there is not a "standard" to study. The best you can do is to study the info and study guides that are offered in the application packets for that particular Department. Good luck. Just because you trained for something, doesn't mean you're prepared for it. - Anonymous

| Posted 16 days ago The easiest test I ever took was with Aurora. On the day of the test we were given a study guide and were allowed to study with it for 2 hours. After the 2 hours we had a hour break and then took the test. All of the answers to the questions were in the study guide. I got hired on with Montgomery before APD asked me to continue on with the process, and I had to remove myself from the list because I was down at PTI when they wanted me to take the psych. |
