Has anyone that is assigned a Dodge Charger been able to get the dealer to fix the door lock problem with the key fob? The key fob is non-functioning after the vehicle is driven over 18MPH unless you turn the car off then back on. WHAT A PAIN!

I've been assigned a 2007 Charger since Sept '07, and have had the occasional electronic hiccups, but nothing like that. Any other issues popping up in your car, rflegel ?

I came out of a pursuit Tahoe in to this Charger. I love the car and do not regret making the switch. No other real issues other than the door locks. Our cars also have carpet front and rear, not too excited about that. We'll see what happens the first time someone pukes in my back seat. The dealer tells us the engineers are working on the lock issue. I hope they hurry before our admin orders the new fleet. Dodge may not be a part of the new fleet.

Are not that many choices anymore.  Chevy, Chargers, Crown Vic.  Everyone got a little scared when they heard the rumor that the Vics would not be around for long.  Now they will make them up through 2011 anyway.  I put it this way, the car is your office for the day, and even with many bad mouthing the Vic, still one of the best cars as far as room to spend a shift in.  Vision is great, unlike the nice "blind spot" in the Chargers.  Had a buddy in the Florida Highway Patrol years ago who was assigned one of the new Z28's, after 2 months he told them to put his name on the list for one of the new Vics coming in.  Cannot imagine he said riding around in that cramped up bucket seat with all your leathers on for an entire day.

Some of the departments that have gotten delivery of the Chargers have actually had a man from Dodge come to give a presentation, and in doing so mentioned the fact that they should not get into the habit of running across the median with them.  The low framework would soon be torn all to hell.  I guess you have to go to the next exit and head back the other way...hahaha....

Been doing some reading on the new Chevy Caprice (not Impala) but the Caprice.  Jury is still out on that one yet.  Rear wheel drive is nice, 335 HP is nice.......just have to wait and see I guess.
