I'm new here and I thought I would stop by the intro forum to say "Hi" to everyone and let everyone know a little bit about me.
I am a 37 year old mother that has lost her mind and gone back to school to try to obtain the knowledge to go into the field of Forensic Science. I know, with all my kids and responsibilities, I really needed something else to take up my time! LOL! But, I really want to make a difference and I have always loved the law and puzzles.....so, what better field to go into right?
I am attending the University of Phoenix, Axia College, Online campus, working on my Associates in Criminal Justice. I plan to go on and get my Bachelors in CI, then to go back and get my Associates and Bachelors in the Sciences. Then, its back again to get whatever else I need to finally finish up to enter my career. I plan on getting Rosetta Stone language courses to learn Spanish and Japanese to also assist me in my quest.
I hope to get an internship at Federal Law Enforcement Training Center soon so that I may build up something of a resume for my eventual career.
I live In McIntosh County, Georgia, in a little town called Crescent...(at least I think it is, everybody calls it that even though it has a Townsend address and an Eulonia phone number!). I have 5 children, 4 girls and 1 boy.
Right now things with money are pretty tight, but we get by alright. My only wish is that I could purchase about 5-10 acres from somebody on time for a reasonable amount so I could plant a garden and get some chickens and a cow and maybe a pig to raise. This would save me a whole lot of money and give my kids some real responsibility as well as "real " food that doesn't have all these additives. My oldest one eats as much as my husband and me combined and she is only 12! I wish I could eat like that and stay so nice and thin!
I love to garden, sew, hunt, fish, do crafts, laugh, play with my kids, dance and curl up with a good book and my hubby.
I am also on a list for support for families with disabled children, my second to oldest having Russell Silver Syndrome has given me alot of experience with some of the problems associated with resources and I have done alot of research in who might be able to help with whatever.
My husband's cousin (although he is more like his dad) is a Deputy Sheriff in Dickson County, Tennessee. Right now he is down with a hurt knee, but with prayer and luck, he should be back on his feet soon.
Hopefully someone will come to my site and check it out and maybe give me an email sometime.
Well, back to the books, since the kids are asleep! And if you do email me and I don't get back to you right away, pity me! I'm hitting the books hard and I can't believe how much I have forgotten!!!! LOL! Have a great weekend!
