Posted over 3 years ago Got on tonight and there is a request for my birthdate?? Sorry admins but I really don't feel comfortable giving that out. There are far too many trolls and internet nuts out there that could use it. So in order for me to check out PL I parked a different date just so I could use PL. Anyone else have this pop up? |

| Posted over 3 years ago This recently happened to me, and I don't see any reason why putting in my D.O.B should be a requirment on a public website. Why would anyone want my info, except to run my name though a computer. JMHO |

| Posted over 3 years ago I gave them my birthdate put didn't display it, when my profile when through one of it's self adjustments it popped up there, so i left it , they had better remember my birthday. I'm not really worried about anyone having my birthday, its SSN and DL i will keep to myself, thank you. Unless you have a name like Joe Smith, you can probably fighure out a birthdate anyway, when the thread on how many people have your name was posted, ther were only 5 of me in the US, I had only known of 2 others form having encountered my name elsewhere. |

| Posted over 3 years ago This is marketing data they are gathering. The only thing that bothers me is the intrusive pop-up and how it seems "mandatory". I have made it "go away" by making a custom "rule" in the "Adblock Plus" addin for FireFox. If you're already using FireFox and Adblock Plus and you want this rule, PM me. | Posted over 3 years ago I put in a bogus DOB, a bogus zip, not my name, only thing PL had and I'm guessing still has that isn't fictious is my work email. After I got the gold badge it got deleted from my profile so if they don't still have it they won't get it. You have the rest of your life to solve the problem, how long your life lasts depends on how well you do it. -Clint Smith

| Posted over 3 years ago If I'm not mistaken, I had to fax PL a copy of my credentials and gave them my phone number at work so they could verify I'm a LEO. How can I be an LEO and underage?
