Well, I might as well do this too.

My name is Wassime, and I'm a security officer. I'm working on finishing my degree in CJ and my local PD and I have been mutually eyeing each other for a while now. I have high hopes that I'll be hired in the next process.

I work campus security at a small college here. Its an interesting job, especially after working contract for so long. The population of this college is about 2000 residents, and we deal with about everything a small town would, minus traffic. Domestics, drugs, alcohol, DC out the ass, and armed 'gangsters' walking around and selling drugs. We keep our LEO brothers busy for sure.

Ok, enough of the job. Yes, my name is Arabic. My mother is from Egypt so that where that came from. I grew of in Oakland, California (east side where its all grimy and hoodrich), and Vallejo, CA, when Oakland was too rough. Moved to Kansas of all places, where I went to high school and my first worthless year of college (Bud Lite University). After being accepted into the Kansas Sate Patrl Academy, I met my wife and moved to WI without attending. Stupid move, but my wife was worth it. I started attending classes for CJ part time while working 3 jobs, and thus I'm in the bind I am now. Work 50-60 hour weeks and try to get my degree to get into the PD. Unfotunately, there are bills to pay...lots of them. So, I joined this site for guidance, direction, and to socialize with my Big Brother and Sisters in the LEO field and others like myself. My best friend is an LEO, and I have a lot of buddies in the PD, so this place feels like home to me. I hope to bring along a sense of humor, an lend my words where they can be used (or sometimes not, lol). I have the utmost resect for the position and title of LEO, but nobody has my personal respect until they have earned it. If you are an ass to me, you will hear about it. Period. Luckily everyone here has been very cool (or just tolerant) to me, with one exception who I haven't seen for a while anyway. I've already learned a lot, and I really appreciate the encouragement you all have been offering me to move along with my calling. God knows I need every bit of it. Thank you all.

Yes, I jingle keys, but they are badass keys and I can knock somebody the hell out with them. I carry a flashlight, but the beam is strong enough to flay skin. I don't carry a gun anymore, but I'll throw a bullet at you. OCD is not in my arsenal,but I spit acid. Handcuffs? No, thank you. I'll just use my hands. My duty knives are small, but I'll stare daggers at you till you keel over. And I can hand-to-hand with the best of them, but my favorite moves are the "Lightning Mic Grab" and the "Touch of Cell Phone" which almost instantly makes it rain LEO's till a perp drowns in a sea of blue. Rent-a-cop? That's Officer Rent-a-Cop to you, son. Now gimme a damn bearclaw. I haven't graduated to doughnuts yet. LOL.

Don't say cop cookies. I'm already hungry.

LOL, just as bad. Now I can see it every time I check this post.

Oh, I forgot to add that I'm also a writer. Been writing poetry and short stories for the last ten yeas, and I'm currently in the middle of writng my first novel. So, there you have it, lol.

Sure. As a matter of fact, I'll see if I can find one I wrote a few years back call "In The Line of Duty". Its the only LE thing I've ever written, since my genre mainly is Fantasy and Sci-Fi. Hell, I might even post it for ridicule...I mean viewing.

I'm strangely addicted to that vanilla iced coffee from McDonalds. Actually, so is my partner, one of my dispatchers, and two other guys here. I wonder if they put smack in it.

Thank you all for the welcome. Power rings? lmao! And Monster and doughnuts don't mix for me. Iced coffee though? Hell yeah! I find I move WAY faster, my keys jingle louder, and my flashlight will shine somebody to the bone...even if its only so I can hurry up and get to a can before I piss myself from too much caffeine.

Lucky you!! Our McDonalds has no such thing and that sounds absolutely delicious. I have to stick with going to Starbucks and getting my Iced Caramel Machiato which puts a dent in my wallet every time I go. Welcome to the site!!
