I recently bought a police car Transformer toy for my little boy. After buying it, I noticed that instead of saying "To Protect and Serve..." on the side of the car, it said "To Punish and Enslave..." Hasbro should be ashamed that they are teaching little kids that the police are there to punish and enslave them. I sent a complaint to Hasbro about this, and I would encourage other officers to go to their website and do the same.

Is the police car a bad guy or a good guy in the movie?

The police car is a bad guy in the movie, folks. And Onefineofficer is correct - it's in the movie.

navydennis... i know your wanting to be a cop, and thats great. i hope you make it through a great career. but what stillh2man is saying is that the people need to respect the cops... they already get bad press, so here is an example.. the 5 pm news.. BREAKING NEWS man shot by police. suspect might have pulled out a gun and killed the other cop.. they have all the evidence in the world that the bad guy shot and killed the cop.. but its a might have killed the cop.. is he not dead??? and the bad guy got shot by the cops, not might have gotten shot, but they are all 100% that the cops shot the bad guy .. but the bad guy "might" have shot the cop... do you get it??? the media blames it on the cops all the time, the fireman get the cool toys, they get to put stickers on the cars, they are proud to be fireman, cause no one is going to walk to them and his family and say bad things or look at them wrong. my husband freaks when i wear the memorial t-shirts of down officers, just to get my nails done. he is afraid things will happen, cause people dont like the cops, they have a mental block towards them, so to put on a toy that they are to Enslave and punish is just wrong. everyone already thinks they are racist. we support the down officers buy buying the t-shirts, the money goes to the family, we have to walk around sorta on egg shells. i have 4 boys and i dont want to teach them that cops are here to punish people, they are here to put people in jail that are breaking the law, thats what i teach my boys.. you live a good life make good choices in life and police are there to help.. you arent making good choices then you sit your butt in jail and think of the choices you have made.. luckily my kids are all under 11 but they are getting there.. i know i am on a rant.. but we are not lame. we would like people to respect cops period.. i know its a toy.. its up to me if i buy it. and i probably wont.. stay safe all of you.. go home to your families they are waiting...

To be honest, I don't think that it should be taken so seriously; in the movie when I saw that it said "to punish and enslave" I actually found it amusing. Since it's found on one of the Decepticons, of course it's going to say something negative. And the car was SICK looking: a mustang saleen fully tricked out. But the entire point of the movie was the the Decepticons were coming to earth to try and find the cube, so that they could change the face of earth and wipe out humanity. The side of the car saying "To punish and enslave" makes sense...it's a bad guy.

yes true they are bad guys.. but why always make the cops bad.. i have not seen the movie.. i do not dare go out on opening weeks... with 4 kids its hard.. plus i hate dealing with the lines, so we wait till its older in the movies.. or netflix!!!! but i think that is a movie i would love to see on the screen.. even though i am a girl.. i played with transformers when i was a kid.. LOVED THEM!!! they use to blow up my barbies.. :)

the problem is people believe what they see,, movies play cops as bad, TV shows, show cops are bad.. just i am sick of seeing cops in a bad light.. i know so many good ones.. i sleep with the best one!!! have a great day and stay safe

For adults, the slogan "to punish and enslave" is comical...
For children, it's clearly setting the wrong example...

How many children will remember that decal clearly?? Prolly just about the same of us who remember some of our pasttime cartoon favorites....

Oh, furthermore, since I don't think there is much we can do about the slogan... All I can suggest is those parents who purchase those toys or allow their children to see the movies (or any movies for that matter) watch them and discuss the movie and talk to their children about how the "cop car" was a bad guy in the movie... and in real life, that's not the case.

Just take some non-acetone nail polish remover and a few Q-tips. Then apply the non-acetone nail polish remover to a Q-tip (not too much) and wipe off the decal (I do it all the time on my custom cars to remove decals). Or get some black paint and paint over the dang thing!! Easy to do!! Problem solved!!!!!!!!!!

I agree, the decal on the police car saying "To punish and enslave" is not appropriate for children in this easliy impressionable world. Perhaps the creators of the movie should have made the police car a "good guy" and put a positive spin on LE. Unfortunately what's done is done. I agree with gh, the best thing to do is remove the decal.

Also, for navydennis, I thought you wanted to be a LEO? From viewing your posts and the attitude I can decern from it, you have a negative attitude towards LEO's and I believe would only want the job for the power and ability to participate in illegal/immoral activities. I hope your attitude towards LE improves while you are in the Navy, but I still do not believe you should ever be in the job.

I agree with everyone but johnny_law66 I looked into why they made the Police car a bad guy. Here is the reason- I read somewhere that the bad guys had a habit of always having a Police car or motorcycle. They were in the shows in the 80's (from what I herd) so I dont mind that but I do disagree with that one decal. Otherwise Id love to drive that beauty!!
