I'm not ashamed, and if there are enough people out there that feel the same way, it will be a lot more difficult to pass legislation intended to tear apart the nation we have known.  Evidenced by meetings about health care reform/takeover.

I agree! I am new to this site but I was told I didn't have to be PC- since that's BS anyway! I am a patriotic  republican (even though I am a registered independent..now, before I hear yelling, I did that because I thought if  any democrat ever had a good idea, I would listen and support it...which is why I always vote republican.....) Now, I am pretty sure we all remeber 9/11- I live in Manhattan so I am pretty sure it was not a fairy tale. Why then, when I am going to work, do I have to see huge banners being hung to celebrate Ramadan?! Why don't we just hang a banner that celebrates the Obama jihad? I can't be the only one who sees another jihad coming- straight from the white house? Am I? PLEASE- I would love to hear opinions- because what is coming gives me the willies...

Ashamed of my country that I have been serving for 34 years (military and LEO) There has to be more idiots out there than I know. I called the Pentagon when Desert Storm kicked off and they would not take  me back in the military due to age and prior injuries in Viet-Nam .Our own citizens in this country with help of a lot of illegals I am afraid are going to take us down from within. Our president in not helping us in and way that I can see. I served and fought in Nam and was lucky and did not die. I will do it today where I work and some I do not like but push come to shove I will wind up doing it for them. Thats what I am here for, if I am not willing to do that I just as well give up the badge and and retire. I am nothing special, no hero, am not political so do not know why I was elected to this again and again, just an american country boy doing what I love to do. Will be here until voted out of office or to damn old to carry the weight around my waist any longer.

Hardcore- you ARE a hero! Many times over...Don't forget that. and I'm glad someone thinks the way I do about another jihad coming from within--YES, I think us civilians should be ready for it too- I think LEO's and nonLEO's are going to have to fight side by side=Hopefully, that will not happen, butI will be ready for it, if it does.I am angry too that I am "too old" to join the miltary, FBI etc(nevermind the specifics..). I think people who are ready to start a second career can bring something really valuable with them-wisdom and mautrity and dedication- Hopefully, I'll find a place- because IF it comes, I will be ready- I love my country too..

I am proud to be an American. I served in the Navy, and then in Law Enforcement, and I wouldn't change a thing about what I did for God and Country. Maybe someone should tell that person that is sitting in the White House that if he had served in our American Military Service he would have had a different look at things. Instead, he acted like so many of those so-called cowards and did not serve, and then he has the nerve to stand up and make a fool out of himself to the whole world.   -ceb   ...
