Both Crowley and Obama expressed a preference for Blue Moon--so that seems reasonable. But really--why do they have to agree? When I go to a restaurant with friends we don't all order the same beer! I've never tried Blue Moon, but if there's any Victory Brewery ales on tap I'd have to go with one of those.

P.S. this is a fun topic--grumpy people direct your snarkiness/politicizing comments elsewhere.

what ever the brew. it's going to be a bitter ale for officer Crowley.  Gates should be thanking him for take an interest in protecting Gate's home and the community. I'd rather be questioned by a cop in my home to verify, ...than have a thief or worse NOT get questioned in MY home...

It's a special brew made in the depths of the White House.

The beer served by POTUS to Officer Crowley?

It's called: I Apologize.

I think they should stick to "rootbeer"!  That way they can't blame the alcohol if they get into a heated discussion on police procedures and policies.

Macallan 25-year-old single malt.

Hey, Mr. Obama's buying, right?  No lesser beverage would entice me to that meeting.

Which ever they choose I hope the Sgt has a ride home or they will probably lock him up for impaired.

That would be the chaser after everyone's loosened up. Start a negotiation with a decent ale, celebrate consensus with the single malt.

I'm with K9...

this beer party shouldn't be happening.  It's hardly "presidential"... but then I forget....we don't have a President.

Hmmm... Valid point.  In that case, Firestone's Double Barrel Ale to start.

It would take more than a beer to get me to go to the White House on this topic.  I would tell the President to come to my house.  He owes Officer Crowley the apopogy.

First he calls him stupid, and then offers him a beer, go figure.

I'd like to say that Officer Crowley will prove himself to be the better man of the three, but... HE ALREADY HAS! Hmmm, maybe we should all get together and put Crowley in as the President...

Please don't let it be lucky lager, hamms, keystone or anything in a 40.  None of those would help the image of the situtation any.

Sorry I could not resist but to attempt to interject some humor into this whole thing.  I think it is bad idea.  Go to a pub or something.  The secret service can secure it for obama.  I'd avoid the White House like the black plague under the circumstances.

It's just a cover to get rid of all the left-over cases of "Billy Beer" still cluttering the White House Basement from the Carter Administration.

Along with some Sam Adams our wonderful leader should be serving up a heaping helping of "I'm sorry for sticking my nose where it didn't belong seeing as I didn't have all the facts and made this a racial issue."

No beer from the hood, ie; Old English 800 or Colt 45, I think he should go with the local beer from Beantown, Sam Adams, Summer Wheat.

Sgt. Cowley is a better man than me because I think I'd pass on the offer.  As for which beer.  I would by Sgt. Crowley whatever he wanted.  He'll never be thirsty if I can help it.  As for the other two, who cares.  They would both die of thirst before I'd pony up for a brewskie.
