I would like to welcome all perspective members to this group in advance, hopefully this will become a good group for us all. I welcome your ideas and submissions.

Lets all start this group with a picture of where you work, or what most represents your job to you. Just send a link to a site with your photo.

Peace

Hi All..... Many of the pictures I've had as my Avatar were taken where I work. The current Avatar was taken after leaving for the day, offsite. When I get a chance, I'll post a folder with some current shots. I think there are still a couple from work locations on my profile or photos page. Have a Great Day!

......live at peace with everyone........

Don't know how much time I'd be able to gander at this thing, but I love my photography. I've been a pro/am shutter-bug for 25 years or so. If I get a chance I'll scan in some of my stuff and see if it is appreciated.

Well, I just got hired by LA Sheriff's Dept. after 8 1/2 yrs in the Marine Corps and my wife and I mostly take photos of nature and normal things but in a different and interesting way. We have about 4000 pics on our hard drive of either family stuff or nature things. I'm not a tree hugger but there are some awesome things in the world that is worth taking the pic. I will be posting some pics for you all to see soon. Thanks for the invite Glenn I'm glad to be in a group that can appreciate a good pic for what it really is.

hi glennlump, and everyone ! KD7 that is a beautiful sunset and great capture. If that was in 1985, that had to be "a bit" before digital cameras were mainstream, and especially as a film shot, it's got really nice detail, exposure and color saturation for a sunset shot caught on film. MAGNUM's garda memorial shot has a great point of view, and I wish him the best with his new post at the garda!

Am looking forward to participating in the topic threads in this group, excellent group idea glennlump! I mentioned it in another thread, but you have some really well-executed and great technical skilled shots on your photog website, which by the way, very clever biz name you chose "eye photography!" :)

while doing some research for another subject in photography, this website popped up which I found interesting in regards to the early origins of legal photography, particularly the development of photographic evidence in the courtroom and the origination of mug shots.

I work for the Wauconda police Department and the Lake County Sheriff's Department. Both are located in Northern Illinois, just shy of the Wisconsin boarder. Check them out and let me know your thoughts. Take care.

that is an awesome sunset, KD7! I like to take scenery pictures and city landscapes. There was a fire at one of our cop bars and I got there after the fact but the ice on it is really cool! I have a good fall colors in my profile pics and also a few of the 35W bridge collapse----thanks for the invite, Glenn!

thanks mike, yeah that picture of the sunset was taken on a cannon AE 1, before the program came out.... I took it while i was still in college, and much as i would like to say it was good photography, i have to admit that one was pretty much just dumb luck for me.. lol but it did turn out pretty good
