Co-operate completely. These things have happened before and they will happen again. You need to co-operate and as soon as you are able try to explain the situation completely to them.

I'm not an officer, angelbaby, but I would imagine being at the wrong address scares cops, too.

For example, what if they are coming because of someone violent and well-armed, and are one door over? Not only do they scare an innocent family-- it's just a scare, you'll get over that!-- but they've just telegraphed their intentions to the bad guy, who is possibly sitting there with his automatic weapon thinking he's not going down without a fight.

No one likes a wrong address!

what time of the day would you like us to serve the warrant. if someone is beating their wife or children and has barricade themselfs in the house should we tell the victim to first verfy their address, and wait until later in the day so as not to distube the neighbors. im sorry miss we can not help you at this time call back between 10am and4pm mon thru fri,.... if your still alive.

i know, it probably scared the shit out of them too. does it make you feel better that the assholes next door know that the police know who the thugs in you neighborhood are. nothing to fear from the popos if your doing nothing wrong.

Yeah i'm sure it did I can't believe it took them busting the door open to get someone. They yelled 10 or 12 times before that. We have 4 officers who live on the property and I am proud to say that I like knowing that they are there.

That many officers with that many guns? Must have been something serious! I would recommend that you grab your gun and run outside real fast, to see if you can help.

Sorry, I couldn't resist.

Alot of the anti-police types are quick to jump when the wrong house gets hit. See it all the time in the media.

Domestic abuse can get so serious. I'm sorry you have that next door to you Angelbaby and I hope it's not an ongoing thing. That poor 15 year old. What a terrible way to solve an argument. I wonder where the girl that used the wrench to express anger learned how to manage her anger.

Dang navydennis, I would have thought that you love the media. The Media would bring out all those dirty cops and let everyone know about all the corrupt cops that steal those drugs. Naveydennis you are holding a double edged sword. Whatever you say from now on will be tainted by your prejuduce, gender bias, and ignorance. Gool luck getting a job and that not coming out in your Psych.

Here a beer to ya SGT1202. Navy, you need to choose a different pofession. I could never imagine someone like you who hates cops as much as you do landing a career in LE. I predict the furthest you would ever go would be...ohh security.

I think you guys have hit the mark with your comments about NAVY. I just wish I had the chance to run into this kid myself. The stuff I want to say I know better than to say on here!!!!!!!!! Ref Angels statement I 'm sorry you woke up to that. Its hard to watch aswell as hard to take part it. My hope is that you and your family are a little safer now that these people have been arrested.

It is amazing how much someone thinks they know, without having any experience, life or job. Navy your not doing yourself any favors with the attitude that you keep putting out there. I hate to admit it but the military is now filled with people with that attitude and it takes away from the ones that are sacrificing their lives in harms way. It is easy to armchair quarterback officers out there risking their lives for the protection of others. I would suggest that you get some life and job experience before making statements like you have in past threads.

Guys please dont encourage Navydumbass to get into security. we already have a bad enough name without some one like this trying to start out in security. If he was ever hired by a security company, Im sure he would end up making national news for some thing that would cause the end to all security jobs. encourage him to be a dog groomer or some thing

On behalf of the whole LEO community, sorry Angelbaby that you had the rooooood awakening of the good guys doing business as usual. I have thought about that very thing with my neighborhood. Heck,...I live in a great neighborhood. During the usual gatherings a couple of times a year with neighbors (4th of July, etc.), I've offered what to do if things go wrong. Simply this: Don't argue. Submit and go with the program. Other than a broken door frame and/or window, there is no need to get a broken jaw or worse because you want to stand your ground during a dynamic entry. Our agency like most others, uses the ICS. Incident Command System. If there isn't an active shooter involved or similar, we set the perimeters, make the calls, gather the intel, locate, isolate, evacuate and all the stuff that goes along with it. With a bit of persistence and luck, we can usually figure it out and minimize the wrong address issue. When we DO get it right, we often times advise the good people neighbors of our presence and help evacuate or reposition them in their home. I cannot speak to the approach your county mounties made on that residence and yes, it felt like you now need to use Spray-n-Wash on that new 'spot'. But, most of our LEO's across this U.S. of A. do care that you were startled and may have tried to let you know of their presence had it been practical.
