I saw a weird call-out up in news today.  It looked like other members were already on it, but what do you do?  PM a moderator?  Or is there a Moderator News Alert Group or something?

I trimmed it down because it was buging me but it's still there just shorter.

Well guys the trolls are getting smarter but if you look at the only other posts BigvV has posted in i think you will understand. He poped his head in over a year ago. Now I am not as good as yall think I am. Is it possable for someone to create a troll and keep him on ice for a year just to prove a point . He started a thread about airport security then got pissed when he could not access it a year later. Even a made up troll cannot be that smart or able to read the future. And sorry Hammie i did not mean to confuse you with somthing you are not i was just caught up in the heat of the troll hunt.

The only bad part about alot of the trolls they only post a few times then gone. They stay in hideing to pop out when they think it is safe. They are like the child predators its hard to catch them.

In news.  Some joker was taking the opportunity to hurl a generic insult.  LEOs started calling him on it right away.  He was in the process of getting nailed.  I forget which article.

Yeah, they like to frag news.  Talk smack.  But on the flip side, moderators delete their comments fast.

I think that some people are maybe over-reacting. I wouldn't reach out and pull a troll label out of my pocket unless I really have probably cause.

Sometimes, friends, you just gotta let these things play out a little more. We have inadvertantly burned the scarlet letter on a few foreheads and ended up taking to some Hollywood nip and tuck artist to remove our falsely accusatory burn marks.

The informal standard is to not draw conclusions based on bits and pieces. You can surely start making some quiet assumptions but mostly wait until you have enough evidence to pull the big red handle.

There are enough Mods around that we can stop, remove or delete corrosive postings. Some of the stuff I keep in the Vault as evidence.

And, Meff, my friend, no need to spin your wheels. Just lay back, gather intel and see what happens.

Our place on PL is not just to be door watchers waiting for the next party crasher. We can be fiddle-fartin' around the site and enjoying ourselves. It doesn't take too long to I.D. a nefarious individual.

And what the worst someone can do around here ?  Say something? They certainly can't hurt anyone or touch off an arson case.
