Over the past several years I have slowly built a collection of firearms. Pistols, revolvers, shotguns, rifles etc...Which I will be posting pics of in the near future....Today I found a Ruger P90 .45 caliber pistol in excellent condition and the seller is asking $400 for it. I have no doubt that $350 cash will buy this gun. I did my research and found out that most reveiws go either way on the gun and that the suggested retail price is $539 brand new. What is your opinions on the gun and on the price?

What do you want the gun for. A duty weapon? An addition to your collection? Something else (home defense/target shooting, etc.)  As far as I can tell $350 is not too bad as a price.  If you are unsure of the gun and want it as a duty weapon, I would say probably no, if you want if for other reasons mentioned above i would say yes (this is partly because of my philosophy that you can never have too many guns), but you are the ultimate decider.  I would not want to carry a duty weapon that I had doubts about (unless required by athe agency) and if  you are buying it for this purpose, i would shoot it a lot and decide then about  it.  I knew one officer who carried a P90 as a duty weapon (at an agency where officers had to buy and furnish therir own weapon, with a wide variety allowed) and he seemed quite happy with it.  I don't know if this helps or not.

Sorry I wasn't more clear here. I am just looking to add to my collection of guns because I to beleive that you can never have to many guns. I'm a very active shooter, I just don't blow a bunch of money on guns so I can put them up and look at them. I fire anywhere from 250-500 rounds per month through various different guns that I own. I think i'm going to buy this gun because it truely is in mint condition. I will let you know how she shoots.

I am not a big fan of Ruger semi-auto's.  The P90 just seems way to bulky for me but if it's your thing then jump on it like a boy on a girl after prom.

I've never owned a Ruger pistol. I do have a Ruger Security Six in .357 magnum which I like. It is strong, sturdy ,and reliable. If the semi autos are built the same way I would say buy it. For $350.00 I would probably buy it myself.
