| Posted about 5 years ago Actually... i've got 4 magazines for a sig 228... guess i'll have to pick one up one day.. but i could always sell them and buy something else.. dunno.. did the sig thing and it didnt really take. I like em! No doubt about that.. but they are hella expensive now a days. Everything you do can get you killed, including doing nothing at all.. |

| Posted about 5 years ago As I've said elsewhere "Well, I’ve heard many anwsers from many people and all of the ones that knew what they were talking about, and weren’t Italian, said their praises to their favorites, but the one they recomended most over-all was SIG. One guy told me that he attended a semi auto pistol trial with all kinds of police and military issue pistols. They fired all of them as long as they could and only stopped firing when the individual guns would stop working, due to jams, fowling, or mechanical breakdowns...what have you. SIG was the only gun to not stop firing. I’d say the best bet for an automatic would be any double-stack magazine loaded 9mm SIG using Hollow points, or any kind of specially designed rounds that cost from 50 cents to $2 a round. I’d steak my life on a SIG 226 with 9mm hollow points. I KNOW I’m not the only one with that opinion." I've handeled Glocks before and I thought they felt light and cheap compared to what I'm used to, probably as a result of the plastic frame. I know they are good guns, but nothing could compare to SIG. SIGs are made of solid metal, so they're heavy and therefore more stable when fired, that correlates to improoved accuray over lightweights. An example from the SMG world would be the Soumi 31. That's about the most accurate SMG in the world. It's in 7.65, weighs about 10lbs because it has a milled reciever. I'm also into more antique/"classy" guns. I'm after functionality, badassness, and class for alot of themes in life. SIG is Badass and funtional. |

| Posted about 5 years ago I too prefer not having the hammer on the weapon. Go Glock Pain is weakness leaving the body. Obstacles are what we see when we take our eyes off the goal. |

| Posted about 5 years ago Both are fine weapons. I prefer the Sig over the Glock any day. The Sig is just such a nice shooter. The Glock is just rather bulky. I am not a fan of the baby Glocks because they are just tooo bulky to carry concealed compared to other others... |

The day after I bought my Sig I qualified with it, which by the way I had never fired it before every single round was center mass no problems, So I agree it depends on the shooter and the way you perfer the grip and feel of it, also it don't matter if it is a $10,000 dollar gun with all the bells and whistles if you don't practice practice practice with the weapon your not going to be any good with it. Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn't pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same.

| Posted about 5 years ago Glock and sig are both vary good gun's I smith and do extensive work on gun's, sigs and glocks out of the box don't need much... 17, 19, hicap 226 229 also hicap and with prac. you can kiy hole at 25 yards. |

| Posted about 5 years ago Too many guns not enuf time. I have not been able to play with Sig's DAK trigger. As an instructor, armorer, and over all gun wacko; would rather have a sidearm with one trigger pull consistant throughout. Additionally I would rather have a combat type trigger which requires a deliberate large muscle manipulation to cause to fire. Thus I use and prescribe Glocks with the NY1 trigger spring. Our dept has one person (BOSS) with a Sig220 which he can use affectively with the traditional DA/SA trigger. |

| Posted about 5 years ago I got to play with a Memphis PD's Sig, It's a good gun, but I love my GLOCK. I carry a GLOCK22C. The plus and downside to Memphis PD's Sig is they are double action only, so, same trigger pull each and every time. |

| Posted about 5 years ago Being a gun crank I buy, shoot, drool, and other unmentionable things with guns often. The current crop of duty, self defense pistols and revolvers are of a quality never before available. Granted the S&Ws of the 1920s and 30s had glass type triggers and blueing to knock your socks off. But we now have well over 3 manufacturers making revolvers strong enough for medium to heavy work with more than adequate quality. Pistols can be had by close to a dozen manufacturers of varying sizes in all the most popular calibers for basic battle sidearms. Most of the ones of newest manufacture can meet accuracy and ergonomic standards, some straight out of the box. All we have to do is pick and choose the one or ones that meet our likes in comfort and fit. We can and should learn to be able to use any of them in case we need to pick up a 'battle field weapon' to the point of defending ourselves. |
