Thought for today . . .

You cannot correct what you are unwilling to confront.

Get-it-done Affirmations (J.D. Taylor)

I forgive myself for past false-starts and poor choices.

I no longer play the blame game or the shame game.

I focus on my positive attributes.

I am able to focus on my priorities and keep the main thing, the MAIN THING!

I can courageously handle anything as I take it one day at a time.

"This too, shall pass."

I am willing to take risks even when I am afraid.

I am proud of myself.

I empower myself by accepting risk as part of my life.

I don't absorb the negativity of others.

I have the courage to love, appreciate, and care for my body.

My body is strong and resilient.

I love and trust my body.

I walk in my personal power and purpose with spiritual authority ... not apology.  This is my season.

Daily Promises
Blue Letter Bible
May 24, 2009

He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son. (Revelation 21:7)

Echoing the testimony of His promise to the nation of Israel, God speaks thus to the overcoming church: "I will be your God and you will evermore be my people." The Father's love is great. It is a beauty to behold. Ever and beyond the end of days will God's majesty remain; and we, His people shall endure and praise His name forever.

May 26

The Lord beareth your murmurings, which ye murmur against Him.--EX. xvi. 8.

  Without murmur, uncomplaining

    In His hand,

Leave whatever things thou canst not

    Understand.

K. R. HAGENBACH.

One great characteristic of holiness is never to be exacting--never to complain. Each complaint drags us down a degree, in our upward course. If you would discern in whom God's spirit dwells, watch that person, and notice whether you ever hear him murmur.

GOLD DUST.

When we wish things to be otherwise than they are, we lose sight of the great practical parts of the life of godliness. We wish, and wish--when, if we have done all that lies on us, we should fall quietly into the hands of God. Such wishing cuts the very sinews of our privileges and consolations. You are leaving me for a time; and you say that you wish you could leave me better, or leave me with some assistance: but, if it is right for you to go, it is right for me to meet what lies on me, without a wish that I had less to meet, or were better able to meet it.

R. CECIL.
