I need to get fingerprinted by a police agency so I can get my concealed carry license. The license itself is from the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. Can I just go to my local police department and have it done? I dont want to go in there and sound stupid if they can't do it.

If they won't try the SD or the state, someone will help you out.

Just call your local PD and ask. It is not as stupid of a question as you might think. We get the very same question all the time. My department does not provide that service but we always direct them to the ones that do. You may want to ask if they charge for it as well, just so your not surprised when you get there.

I could do it for you... BUT I’m in Utah... lol Sorry in one those moods but yes like BCPS said go to your local PD, they probably charge you 10 to 30 dollars to do it…

Hi, HenryOceantom I received my concealed weapon permit from florida last year. If you can find a gun show in your local area, you can do everything there that's from what I was told. Almost all the pd's or so's will do fingerprints. The only exceptions are usually very small departments. I was an intern at the pd so a det. helped get my licenese and he did my fingerprints for me. The dept. where I interned at does fingerprints two days a week, as of when I was an intern. My internship is over and I'm not sure if they changed that policy since I left.

I'm in a small department, but if you called ahead, they would give you an appointment to come in and have it done. I'm not sure whether or not they charge for it.

Not a stupid question at all.
