| Posted almost 6 years ago Danny, My department's policy is to contact one of the reconstructionist in any serious crash in which a life is at risk. I am one of the reconstruction officers so I get called once in a while. Usually, a one car/one occupant crash in the middle of the night (rural county) does not require my services. If it appears the crash is nonchargable, we don't reconstruct it. If there is a possible criminal charge, we do. We have just recently decided to add serious injury crashes to the list of crashes we will reconstruct (at my prompting). Right now I am basically alone in the unit. I have a sergeant who oversees the unit, but he is basically inactive. Two more officers are being trained, but that is easily 6 months from completion. George |

Jessie, I am glad they were able to bring the person to justice. Nothing good ever comes from driving drunk. Too many innocent victims... |
