Posted 6 months ago Come out on Thurs. June 25, 2009 at 7:00 pm to see the best K9 teams from across the State and Country show off their skills. A public demonstration will be held at Glenbrook North HS (2300 Shermer Rd., Northbrook, IL) after a short squad parade through town. Come see K9 teams at work doing the following demonstrations: narcotic detection, explosive detection, tracking, SWAT K9 deployment, apprehensions and all that good stuff. There will appearances by the South Suburban Emergency Response Team, FIAT, NIPAS ERT, and the Cook County Sheriff's Police Helicopter along with Police equipment and vehicles. Come out and have a good time while supporting your local K9 team. Just because you trained for something, doesn't mean you're prepared for it. - Anonymous

| Posted 6 months ago We're suppose to do a demonstration with two helicopters and a K9 deployment from one of the copters. I was asked to do this, but stepped back for Tom Dermody (Matteson PD). Tom's a great guy and deserves the honor. Hope to see everyone there. Just because you trained for something, doesn't mean you're prepared for it. - Anonymous

| Posted 5 months ago Update....no helicopters because of insurance issues with the HS. The field is also being re-sodded. Hopefully this doesn't mess things up. They promised it will be ready. We'll see. Just because you trained for something, doesn't mean you're prepared for it. - Anonymous

| Posted 5 months ago I would have come, but I already had my schedule made out and it looks like I'm working that day. Another time Pete, let me know what other things might be going on because I really regret not being able to make it to this. |
