Posted about 4 years ago For those of you working on campuses as Public Safety Officers, how do your 'policing policies' differ from other more traditional LE agencies? I imagine dealing with students from other countries poses its own set of problems. Any information is greatly appreciated.

| Posted about 4 years ago We coddle them. We have a policy on alternatives to arrest and are encourage to use it..... but it doesn't happen that way. If we have PC we arrest. CIte and release or long form. We usually don't book unless it's violent or sexual. The university has it's own administartive scantions they take such as drug / alcohol awarness classes, counseling, academic probation, suspension, ect. |
