until these chargers they bought, that are police package, all the vehicles our sheriff would buy would be off the used car lot, different color Suvs, and trucks, the last truck he bought was a full size silverado with big flashy rims on it, and low profile tires, this was bought for patrol, .....but after seeing how flashy it was they made it a detective vehicle...... this county I work in is ass-backwards, we have different color uniforms to wear, blue or brown, or a white polo shirt, .......you wear whatever fits you that day to work, ....there is no uniformity at all , we have blue, white, gray, brown, red patrol suv's and trucks, and now they want to get 4 more red ones........lol I think its a joke....I dont know what they are smoking

I just can't decide which is worse. Driving a red patrol car and having people think you're a gravel picker (fire person) or driving a regular patrol car wearing a Slick Willy mask and having people think you're campaigning for Hillary... Choices can be such a bear...

Our cars are burgandy, alot of SO's in NC have either brown, tan, or burgandy patrol cars. I saw a red one on COPS once, one of the old Pierce CO (WA) SO's patrol cars..that was a bright red caprice, if I remember right.

Yeah they are flurecant ,reflective, and and have orange as well. They don't know what tactics are. The only tactical looking british cop car I have ever seen was a K-9 vehicle. It was a dark forest green.

there are some red slicktops here in MD.. most of our chiefs drive white vehicles, and our fire investigators drive slicktops.. the FM's are FFs who go through the academy and have powers of police and have blue lights and wear body armour and carry guns.. i've seen all kinds of slicktops, there's a SWAT SGT here that had a beat-up looking white Ford F-150 with a cap and all his gear in the back.. he also had a "Ted Kennedy has killed more people than my gun has" bumper sticker.. one would never suspect the truck to be an officer..

I want to find the driver(s) at the front of the traffic jam and have their license(s) revoked. Then make them ride the bus until they promise never to hold the rest of us up again.

PSP's red mustand is a DARE car that was part of a drug seizure and use it as PR with kids etc...not truly a working zone car.

I saw one in Kansas City, MO a LONG time ago.

Detroit's gang squad cars were a cranberry color (Crown Vics and Caprice Classics) for a few years back in the day, but they were all unmarked. Still Police Cars, though.

Philadelphia, Pa drove red cars in the 1950's and the 1960's. Kansas City, Mo had red cars for precint sergeants at one time. Minnesota Highway Patrol drives burgandy cars.
