| Posted 7 months ago I won't be able to make it this year (working that Saturday), but it is a great event that I've attended before. It is a great example of the solidarity and support within the LE community, and helps us remember why we do this job despite its risks. |

| Posted 7 months ago The Will County Memorial is going to be on Saturday the 9th also. Officers from all over Will County are honored. Illinois Department of Correction Officers are honored too. A DEA agent from Will County is also honored. Just because you trained for something, doesn't mean you're prepared for it. - Anonymous

| Posted 7 months ago Wouldn't it be nice if they could co-ordinate the various memorials ceremonies so that they aren't at the same time? If I were to try to go to all the ones I normally attend (or want to) it would be something like this: May 6-7...Illinois Memorial in Springfield; May 9th...Cook County memorial ceremony in Lyons, then on to the Will County memorial; leave directly from there, driving to Washington DC so that I can be there in time for the Law Ride; leave DC after the ceremonies on the 15th to go to Cleveland for their memorial ceremonies and pipe band tattoo. Then, of course, there is the Indiana memorial and the small local remembrances. Don't sweat the small stuff....you'll dehydrate |

| Posted 7 months ago I know Patty. The Will Co. one is usually the 1st Sat. of the month. The coordinators of it usually have too many other things on the burners and it's always put together at the last minute. | Posted 6 months ago I have K9 Training during the day and will head out shortly afterwards. I'll be with the idiot Joliet guys and gals at the Days Inn. Stop by and say hi. If we're really running late, I'll see you at the Trooper party. If any Troopers read this, do not stop a black Ford F-150 coming down I-55....LOL! See you all there!
