Only if they are in civilan clothing and are acting as a ride along. We start all of our Reserve Deputies at this stage. eventually they will be in a Reserve Deputy Grey uniform and when they finish their training they get to be sworn and wear the Black and Tans and are sworn Reserve Deputies. We have 2 Sworn Reserve Deputies, 1 Grey shirt, and 2 that are in the civilian clothing stage right now. They are all great guys and we would have a tough time running with out them.
