On April 19, 2009 The Blue Knights Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club, Nassau County Chapter X will hold its 4th annual ride in memory of Ptl Philip Cardillo 28 Pct who was shot and killed in a Harlem Mosque on April 14, 1972.  Last years ride attracted over 150 law enforcement personnel on motorcycles.  Ride will leave from the Embassy Diner which is located on Hempstead Turnpike just west of the Seaford Oyster Bay Expressway in Bethpage at 10am and proceed south on the Seaford Oyster Bay to the west bound Southern State. Ride will stop at the NYS Trooper Barracks in Valley Stream to pick up other riders and the NYPD escort.  At 10:45am ride will depart from the NYS Trooper Barracks and proceed North on the Cross Island Pkwy to the West Bound L.I.E.  Ride will exit and make a left turn at Greenpoint Ave and pick up the remainder of our riders on Greenpoint Ave & Gale Ave which is the entrance to Calvary Cemetery. Ride expects to arrive at the cemetery at about 11:30am and proceed to Ptl Cardillo's Grave for the laying of a wreath.  Ride will then proceed to the 28 Pct and then the police memorial in Manhattan.  Verified MOS can PM me for a contact number for more information.
