| Posted about 1 year ago They are hard to come by. I would check ebay. I have a plastic one somewhere. Bobbys don;t like parting with there hats. |

| Posted about 1 year ago Ebay was a good suggestion for this type of item as well as googling the item because there are several clubs and organizations out there. I have also seen them at police memrobilia shows in my region. I have one in my collection from the London Metropolitan Police and no I am not looking to part with it. Good luck on the hunt. I have looked into them in the past and found that they can be as diverse and different as the American police officers badges have become. |

| Posted about 1 year ago Thanks for the input guys. I have been collecting police hats for several years now and do regularly peruse Ebay as one source. I currently have about a dozen police helmets in my collection, including 9 from the UK, (One a rare Royal Parks Constabulary) two from New Zealand and another from Switzerland. I posed the question about helmets on this collector site hoping that some of our fellow LEOS in the UK and other countries might have collections or potential sources. | Posted about 1 year ago I have all three styles from the UK as well as many helmet plates and cap devices but they are really expensive. The helmet plates go anywhere from $20 US on up and the Helmets from $75 for a bargain on up to the hundreds of dollars. I also have a white one from NZ as well as many other dress hats. I wish I had more but they are hard to come by and I just can't afford them but I get lucky every now and then. |

| Posted about 1 year ago By the term "all three styles" are you referring to Comb, Rosette and Ball style tops? I have examples of all three jn my current collection. "If everyone is thinking alike, someone isn't thinking."

| Posted about 1 year ago Had a visitor from Blackpool England several years ago and he was looking through my hat collection and I have his partners Bobby Helmet in my collection. We were both very surprised. |

| Posted about 1 year ago Correct Retleo. I have many plates and cap devices as well but the main thing to me was to be able to obtain original helmets in excellant condition of the three main styles. I would still like to get my hands on a nice 'Noddy' style though. |

| Posted about 1 year ago Hello, I am an Officer In South Wales Police (UK). For all collectors info the traditional 'Wooden top' or custodian helmet as it is called is rapidly being phased out and will only be worn for ceremonial duties as nearly all UK forces now wear flatcaps and some even have BB caps. And as BCPS states each forces Custodian is different to the next.
