My friend (Jeff Smith former Cheif of Police in Hammondsville) told me that he was in a Chevy Impala SS with twin turbos chasing a Corvette. He looked down at the digital speedometer and it was showing 142 mph, and from that point he just focused on the road and hung on. Eventually the Corvette lost it around a turn and flip throwing the driver out. The driver was uninjured and continued on foot. My friend caught the other 3 people that was in the Corvette (don't know how they managed to fit four people into a Corvette) and the driver was caught two days later.
