I work for the NYS University Police/We are represented by Council 82. My union is  New York State University Police Officer's Union,Local 1792   www.nysup.org    . We are currently into our 4th year with out a contract. I am interested in finding out what Unions represent other State Campus/University Police officer's and what are some of the benefiets you receive such as Police Retirement,Disability , 30 max suspension w/o pay and starting salaries----to max and how many years to job rate. Most of this information can be found on our local web site. Check it out.  Thanks  Jim

We are an association...  AZ is a right to work state.  We are working to change that!  www.uclea.org.  Our organization represents all public university and college agencies.

NC is a right to work state also............pay and benefits differ greatly from Dept to Dept in NC.

I guess in NC, it's safe to say "you get what you can and take what's offered" because you don't have any union or bargaining group really fighting for you.

It is what it is.............and.........these things too shall pass.
