My granddaughter, who just turned 3, was diagnosed last fall with Celiac Disease. For those of you (like me) who don't know what that is, it is a gluten (wheat) intolerance. She can no longer enjoy pb&j sandwiches, breaded fish sticks, most cereals, pizza or birthday cake, unless her mother purchases gluten free products at her local health food store or buys the "flour" herself and bakes the "bread" for her. Their biggest problem is finding restaurants where my granddaughter can eat foods that are safe from cross contamination.
I would like to hear from other parents/grandparents who have experience with this disease.
