I remeber the stop well, 8 pm, 45 in a 20, dark tinted windows.  It was a state prison official and he threw the race card before his window was completely down.  I told him that at that time of day he could be flouresant, and I wouldn't know what color he was.  I made a point of saying have a nice day......Every time it came up for court, he pulled strings with the judge to get it put off for later.  I was told each time by the ADA that it was taken care of.  Just a few days later I'd receive another summons....I don't think I wrote another citation for that agency....

My first ticket that I wrote on FTO was to a young lady that was traveling at around 50 mph in a clearly posted 35 mph zone... if I remember correctly.  What really makes it stick out is that she took it to court!  My first ticket went to trial... it didn't seem to be a good start to this whole career.  Luckily, she lost at trial!

The first citation I received...oops, wrong topic .

Comon, I put mine down.  Title doesn't say "Issued"

He/she who starts it, needs to finish it...

I'll bet it was for something like, "Jaywalking"

Just a small incidence of armed robb.....Just messin. It was for passing on the left. I was riding behind an officer on an interstate back in VT. One of the lanes was blocked off because they were doing some construction. The officer ahead of me flashed his blue lights and pulled off to the right side of the lane. I slowed down a bit and passed him on the left side. He immediately pulled me over and wrote me a ticket for passing on the left. He said I should have stopped on the Interstate and not gone around him. He said he was going to perform a U-turn and if he hadn't looked in his mirror, he would have hit me. He also said "I have a hard time chewing your bacon that you did not know you were suppose to stop." (Shrugs). There you go guys.

That would be tough. I have people who will start talking to me at spanish at one of my jobs, all the time. I guess I look like I should be able to understand them, but I am with Suzanne here... if you are here, then at least learn enough to get by.

And what's up with the "california stop" reference, mpd?! LOL! I think we should change it to the "Virginia stop"... cause I am pretty sure I saw someone do it there, too!!

We call it a California coast!  as in coasting through the stop sign.  Monamc, it just sounds cool with the Cali reference.

Who the hell are you calling a racist?  Not real sure you want to push this issue.

Rsmith, I was not referring to you.  I was saying that the person you pulled over was using the race card.  I already sent you a PM about this.  I"m really sorry the way I worded it and I can see why you thought I was referring to you.  My apologies.

Everything is great now :-)  We are friends again LOL I'll make sure to proofread my posts before submitting.  It was a misunderstanding and I hope it doesn't happen again.

My first ticket was the first night I was taken off foot patrol and given a post car.   It was midnight shift and before daybreak I came around a curve and there was a car on the wrong side of the road near the curb and moving.  The head lights damn near blinded me.  Turned out to be some guy dilivering News Papers.   It must have taken me a half hour to find the correct charge for this guy.
