i still like the video of this one.....

Officer:  Here is your ticket for running the stop sign...

Woman:  But I though you didn't give pretty girls tickets.

Officer:  You don't think we give pretty girls tickets?  You're right....we don't.

I stopped a guy for speeding 47 in a 25 one time.  After the intial approach I went back and ran his license.  He had 9 points.  In OK if you get to points, you lose your license.  When I approached the mans vehicle I asked him why if he knew he had 9 points he would risk driving like that.  He stated there was never an officer on duty at that time of night before ( 2:30 am ).  I said well if you would have waited about 5 minutes there wouldn't have been but I was called out.

So if I get a ticket I lose my license.  He said what about the one I have to go to court on Monday... I said well if that one don't, this one will.  Sign here, press hard 5th copy is yours.

Hey officer, these pills are good! Ya want one?

Colonel Sandurz: Prepare ship for light speed.
Dark Helmet: No, no, no, light speed is too slow.
Colonel Sandurz: Light speed, too slow?
Dark Helmet: Yes, we're gonna have to go right to ludicrous speed!

A friend of mine was driving around with 2 other kinda shady people on 4/20 and ended up getting pulled over for speeding. He had just finished smoking apparently and the car obviously reeked. The PO that pulled him over searched the car and found baggie as well as a pipe, so the PO asked who all of this belonged to. At this point all of the kids are out of the car and immediatly started telling the officer that it was the others to the point were he had to quiet them all. One of the kids eventually asked the officer that since he was in the backseat that he should not get a ticket for possesion.

From a Phoenix officer (yesterday):  Female driver, after being pulled over, resisting arrest and thus having the officer administer some "lovin" . "I only did that because I was drunk".

I can honestly say in the 2 years I have been running traffic I have not been given a single smart remark.  By what I say goes like this:

I'm Cpl. Raabe with the Columbus Police Department.  You were stopped for doing 45 mph in a 35 mph zone.  Was there any reason for your violation?

I do this for two very good reasons.  1. If there is an emergency it can be brought up right away.  2. 95% of the time people give me an excuse, such as being late or not paying attention.  I have never lost these cases!  It is basically a taped confession.  I had a lady try to fight a stop sign ticket which she dropped pretty quick when she was told I had her recorded saying she ran it because she was talking to her passenger.

I think the reason no one has come back at me with some silly one liner is because most people expect to hear "Do you know why I pulled you over?" and when you basically ask them "Why did you break the law?" it throws them off.

I think I'll use that when I'm a police officer if you don't mind. I'd be to tempted to say something back that could get me in trouble later.. lol :)

"Hey Officer.... What's the textbook definition of proable cause?"

~~I've never said that when I got pulled over and am NOT stupid enough to say that if I get pulled over in the future... Only said that when I was waitressing nights and there was newbies with my regulars (DPS) and they usually gave me the deer in the headlights look....

LMAO

Me: I pulled you over because you ran that stop sign.

Violator: Officer, I'm sorry i'm not from around here.

Me: As far as I know all stops signs are eight sided otagons, that says STOP.

Violator: LOL you are right.

Out of all my years of driving, I have never gotten pulled over for a ticket *knocks on wood*

However...

one night, I was leaving a martial arts lesson and had what would be considered weapons in my bag (Eskrima sticks and something else, can't remember). Our instructor told us to get these special cards for us to carry with said weapons so if we get pulled over or asked about it, we could show that it was for martial-arts purposes (Don't get me started with Cali and our weapon laws). Unfortunately, I didn't have my card on me and as I was driving through a neighborhood, I see cop car lights flashing in front of me and I slow down as an officer walks up to my truck (a small tacoma where you can basically see everything).

I swear, I don't remember my heart beating that fast because here I am thinking somehow or other, the officer would  see my bags of sticks poking out, search my bag and off to jail I go!

Fortunately, there was a big dispute I guess with a house nearby because he just told me to take another route and told me to have a good evening...I couldn't tell you how relieved I felt!

Adapt, improvise and overcome.

I pull traffic on a vehicle for name your violation and the driver pleads that I not give him/her a ticket because of name your reason which may include but is not limited to:

"My dad/mom/wife/husband will kill me."

"The judge will suspend my license if got another ticket."

To them, I proceed to offer them the following:

Sir/Mam, I can really understand the situation that you are in, so today is your lucky day.  I won't give you a ticket today.  Instead, I'll just give you a citation, how does that sound?

Offender:  Oh man, that's great.  Thanks.

Here is one for you, at least we hear it in my area,

You only pulled me over because I'm brown. (insert what ever color you want.)

As far as getting pulled over, I plan on leaving my hands where the cop can see them. When the officer runs my plate and find out that I have a CCW licence I don't want them to defensive, plus I have nunchuchs by my seat and door, Martial Arts.

Can they find that out by running your plate ?  If I get stopped I'll probably get a ticket just  because I'll be thinking about all the things I shouldn't be saying and laughing.
