Posted almost 6 years ago In washington , md and va area I will never understand why cops would step in front of speeding cars to get them to pull over , one did it with me . So why would any department allow their men and woman to do this with the risk of getting hit just like the howard county officer that was killed ???? I do understand now that the rule is changing but, it took someone to be killed to change this rule makes no sense to me!! |

| Posted almost 6 years ago north mississippi trooper was killed wile trying to flag down a speeder. departments dont have supreme control over their officers,. some people around here that didnt like the man said he was greedy. most people dont under stand that the more you slow traffic the less high speed wrecks there will be. and as for greedy it isnt like he was going to win super bowl tickets. most places dont care if you write 1 , or 100 tickets, as long as you are working. |

| Posted almost 6 years ago I think its nuts to jump in front of a car to stop them especially when they are already speeding |

| Posted almost 6 years ago it wasnt the car he was trying to flag down that hit him. like alot of officers do he got tunnel vision, and was blind sided. this job is dangerous in many ways, many many ways to die, and he died for the people that hated him for what he was trying to do for them. only the men and women in uniform know what im trying to say. |

| Posted almost 6 years ago would you drop your gun belt so you could approach a subject in extreme duress holding a 7in hunting knife and threating suicide, if it was the only way to talk to him so the sniper dosent have to neutralize threat. |

| Posted almost 6 years ago Angelbaby68 so you heard about the officer that died in the line of duty pulling over a young woman who hit him. Why is it after someone dies they change policy? |

| Posted almost 6 years ago "Virginia? Anything for a ticket. Remember, the Va State Police are saving the world and doing God’s work by writing tickets.!!" I agree to that also, look what happened to the Medal of Honor winner when the Virginia State Trooper said..."It dont mean a thing to me". Man said it like he is Gods Given to write anyone and anybody a ticket if they even so much as spit on the sidewalk or look in the rearview mirror wrong. I dont got much respect for someone telling a Medal Of Honor winner that it dont mean shit to him.
