Hi Jita_bug

I myself contacted them solely to ask a question on wanting to further my education to get a degree. Well, they dispatched to a VERY authentic , caring sounding person who at first didn't get into the program but instead talkd for over 30 minutes on how I was, what do I do, etc,etc.....

Then I asked what the basic tuition is & I never got a straight answer.. My mistake was leaving my number cause I was getting calls all the time afterwards...

I did finally say I am no longer interested & to please stop calling...

Here is a site you might want to see..

Thanks for the site. My dad said some colleges can be a fraud and not be excepted anywhere so I need to make sure before I except. I read the article sounds like a scam so I dont think I'll be joining the school.

I have been told some sad things about Pheonix Univ.

So here is my TIP OF THE DAY to you.

When you look at College websites, Look for the words ACCREDITATION or Accreditation and Approvals, if they are accredited it will show something like this example:

  • Ottawa University is accredited by The Higher Learning Commission, a Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. 312-263-0456  www.ncahigherlearningcommission.org.

  • Ottawa University education programs in Kansas are accredited by the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) www.ncate.org and the Kansas State Department of Education (KSDE), www.ksde.org

ALWAYS , ALWAYS, ALWAYS  LOOK  for some sort of ACCREDITATION or Accreditation and Approvals. If not they are JUNK !!!!!!....       This was told to me by Professor & Mentor Dan Johnson, BA, Oklahoma State University/ Oklahoma City

I'll take that one farther... look for regional accredidation, not national. National accredidation is not accepted by major universities, as it is not as strictly governed. If you are looking at online schools, I would probably recommend Ashford University, as they have been around since the early 1900's. I am looking at going to a local university, but I spoke to probably 5 different online schools, and Ashford had the best combination in my books. As far as dealing with someone, I dealt with Justin, his email address is below. He is very straight-forward, and will even check the accredidation of other schools that you might be considering.

I earned my associate's degree from Univeristy of Phoenix, and the University of Phoenix is accredited.  However, I wouldn't recommend them because they are more expensive than most of the online colleges.  If anything I would try South University or Kaplan University, of course that is my opinion.

I have been going to the University of phoenix for almost 4 years now. I have one class left and I will have my bachelors. You can rip off report just about any company and anyone who has had a bad experience with them will be on there. I have had a good experience with them. They are a great university and it is not a degree mill. They are the largest university in the country with ground campus everywhere. They are not strictly a online school and I have never came across anyone who said my degree was not any good. It is expensive but I had the MGIB from the Marines. Almost all Universities have online classes and online schooling is widely accepted now.
