What does it mean? I always laugh when I see it on police cars because you are the police why intercept them? I don't understand that and I said it was a stupid question.

its a special car made for the police.. hence Police Intereceptor.. made for police

It is a police car that intercepts other cars. Very straight forward.

No, no, no, no, no, no....

They are regular Ford Crown Victorias with some performance upgrades, suspension, cooling system, brakes, etc...

I think it's an awesome name for a cop car, reminds me of the "Mad Max' movie & his V8 Interceptor! Awesome car!

Well... whatever they call it, they need to fix the tail end to not be so light. That's the greatest problem around here. No matter what agency has them, at one point or another the tail end is so light that just when you need to grip the road most you end up spinning 'round and 'round the corners. sheeeessshhh
