| Posted almost 6 years ago I have a friend back home in FTW TX who said COPS filmed him twice awhile back but he nor I have seen that episode... he said the filming crew were dicks and I've even tried to email them asking if they knew when they'd be playing it on TV or if it was availble to be purchased but they never want to respond to any of my requests.

| Posted almost 6 years ago My dad was filmed as well and they never aired it... it was cool though, I don't know why. I too emailed them and they answered me saying that they can't send it out to me and they don't know if they have it on file.. |

| Posted almost 6 years ago LOL Super, Well because of having a child hit at my crosswalk. I winded up getting knee deep with a program that is called Safe Kids Walk this way. Needless to say we were able to get the school a few government grants one is 10 thousand dollars, the other 2 are a little under 5 thousand. These grants have to go to the school to improve their safety. I work on a busy road with no school zone lights; this will be one of the first things to be done. Because of this we have been on the news several times now. “No one can make you feel inferior without your consent”

| Posted almost 6 years ago You know, I find it absurd how they'll play RETARDED 80's COPS episodes all the time and repeat them over and over but won't show more current stuff when you know they have TONS of it!

| Posted almost 6 years ago If you ever catch the LAPD, Life on the Beat reruns, I was on that show many times throughout its run. The crew used to really like riding with me because I got them stories. You can sometimes still catch the show on really late at night on some of the cable channels. Mind you, this show was on the air in prime time ten years ago. |

| Posted almost 6 years ago Cops is the best training program for new officers... I tell them to sit and write down every mistake they see. no offense to the officers involved but we all make mistakes. You can talk about errors all day long but seeing them on the screen does wonders for training.. All thats is needed for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing. |

| Posted almost 6 years ago My sister was a records clerk for the PD in the town I grew up in MA. I have a taped documentary from History Channel about them because (not good) the police in that town pulled off the biggest bank heist in some kind of history while my sister was working there. An Officer who worked there at the time gave my sister a call (many years later) and told her to watch so they could see if they would be on TV. They weren't. They didn't know that was going on at the time. Most of it was a re-enactment. | Posted almost 6 years ago The bravest thing I saw on a cops episode was an Officer dressed as a drunk I think in NY and sat out back of a place where the drunks were being rolled and stabbed. He was wired and acting very drunk, unshaven, dirty. When the guys that were rolling the drunks came they pulled a knife on him and he continued to act as an alcoholic. You could hear him begging them not to cut him before other officers ran in. I never forgot that episode. I couldn't believe someone would go that far to help people a lot of people don't care about. | Posted almost 6 years ago Spike used to have a great one on during the daytime (World's Wildest Police Videos, I think) It was recently supplanted by a similar show, but not as good. |

| Posted almost 6 years ago Yes, we were on an episode of COP and had the COPS crew on location with us. Lots of editing,...mult-day filming....waste of time. Keep in mind they (the media and newspaper) are in the business of selling air time and print journalism. They have no code of ethics. They are making money off of you. We essentially ignored them entirely. We had the entire world watching us for a case we had. It's no more than a money making event for the media. |

| Posted almost 6 years ago I was on a couple of episodes of COPS. I had them ride with me for 3 weeks. It was a great experience but it was hard. Since they are in the car with you they want you available for calls. You drive from call to call and don't take reports. My district partners did not like having to take all the reoprts especially when already short staffed. There is so my good stuff that gets edited out because of legal issues or it just did not look right. My parents got to see me on TV and that was the best part. All of my episodes are in re-runs and just plain outdated. |

| Posted almost 6 years ago Two of them could be, if they were sent in. I was the primary unit in one of them, until the suspect rammed me while trying to box him in at an intersection. The car wasn't disabled and I became the secondary. It was a 50 mile pursuit that went through two counties. The other one, I was the secondary and my supervisor was the primary (with a rookie in the car). He shot out the suspects tires, and the shotgun hulls were bouncing off the hood of my car. That one was also a fairly long chase. |
