Posted 10 months ago I've noticed on the Law & Order series when they need an ambulance they ask for a "bus" Is this true? Is the true in NYC? Other agencies? Doc That's too much like intelligence. |

| Posted 10 months ago I'm a deputy and part time paramedic we call the ambulance numerous things from Bus to meat wagon and many other things I won't mention. Its all slang the tv industry got from a little research. |

| Posted 10 months ago I dispatch for Calhoun Co in SC and when our compl call in they have called the ambulance all types of things ranging from the correct term ambulance, to a rescue wagon and also a bus too. I guess the slang is not just in NY its also in the South...LOL LAUGH your heart out...DANCE in the rain...CHERISH the moment...IGNORE the pain...
