Posted over 4 years ago I'd like to hear from those officers involved in Cold Case investigations. I'd like to hear about effective strategies, allocations of department resources etc., success rates etc. |

| Posted over 4 years ago My department is beginning a Cold Case Team that I am heading up. Due to the City's financial difficulties, the five members of this team are participating by volunteering their time without pay to work on this team. We will see where we can go. We have four cases that we will be looking at. |

| Posted over 4 years ago Maybe it will workwith volunteers, I don't know. From all I've found out, CC investigations require high levels of man hours and a really flexible allocation of resources, travel to interview witnesses no longer living in the jurisdiction, etc. A lot of considerations. Just prioritizing which cases get the most effort is another issue.
